Here's some trades an EA that I'm working on has taken...

I have it running on M5, M15, H1 and H4 just to observe how it does on a variety.

M5 and M15 have triggered those above. Top one and third from the top were M5. Second from top and lowest one are M15.

M5 target (for now): 3205
M15 target (for now): 3191

H1 and H4 may trigger on next close.

Was hoping to post this up for people to play with by Christmas. Not going to happen at this point. Will be done when its done. It trades in a few different manners/conditions. Scalps, Trend, Range etc. These trades were entered on Over-Bought conditions...or so it thinks! Happy enough with these entries. Nearly exactly what I would do manually. Picking tops/bottoms. One difference...I would have already taken partials off of the top M5 and M15 positions. That's all built in, too...but I have it turned off just to see how it fairs.

You'll be able to turn off/on any of the individual elements independently...again...Scalp, Trend, Range etc. I'm blabbing now...just giving a few insights. Crap time of year, but I always enjoy it on code...give it some extremes to deal with. Its a live account that its on...small, small, small though.

Anyway...borrows little bits and pieces from a lot of people's methods in here. Just a bit of fun...we'll see how it goes...and make some tweaks when its posted up. At this point, I just want it to trigger orders often. I'm VERY happy on how its handling multiple orders...a lot of work...but is quite simple (and elegant...if I do so myself) how its handling them.

I have it printing a ridiculous amount of info on screen right now (what candles? Can't see any really. ), otherwise I'd give some actual screenshots. Soon enough. All done in MT4...for the moment. We'll see how it goes. If it does alright, and anyone wants to run it somewhere else, I'll have a couple other solutions worked out soon. An MT4 -> X platform bridge is always an option, too. I have a pretty mature Dukas one already.

Anyway...enough blabbing.

Oh yeah...last thing. The Trend element is working ridiculously well! Has obviously been a one way street of late, but...it has gone flat several times, and then started from scratch again. What I LOVE about it is...I would NEVER trade that way. I fakking squirm watching as this thing adds trades to a growing position. The Trend is your friend...but I stink at doing it manually. Much prefer to stand in front of a freight train when manually trading. This thing keeps adding and adding...very cool...and lucrative.

Ooops...one LAST thing. Dodd Frank/FIFO will take away from some gloriousness. Won't be a show stopper...and its coded with it in mind, and DOES comply...but for those not bound by those rules...better performance awaits.

Same here...and it already WAS this year, too! Had a GREAT week 1 to the month. Left me very little to do in week two to hit my monthly target. Stepped out...screens off...family and friend time maximized. Had to show sisse and The Eagle I was listening...and agree!

Absolutely favouring Longs at this point. We'd have to get down around $1250 before I started to think about long term holds again, but yeah...not calling curtains on Gold's run. Always interested in $10 - $30 runs...plenty of which are available in both directions. Would LOVE to see 1650. Wipe some major stops...and then take stock on where we are in the short (very slightly mid) term.

I'm not putting in long right here targeting it, but I DO believe 1800 WILL print.

Always good to take a break. Enjoy the Xmas break Hatch and 2013 is a new year to slay the markets unless the Mayans get it right

Have Destination around weekly 100Ma also Sisse (1.339x). Might pop on a short for January but will see after the xmas break.

Neither one triggered...not quite stretched enough, AND...

M5 & M15 conditions are no longer valid for entry, so...

May just be best to have it close out of those...

(just picture two trades above...1 & 3 (M5), or 2 & 4 (M15)...it will NEVER run both)

So...either close out...because if H1 or H4 isn't there (signaling)...it starts to imply a Bull Flag to me. So...close out...OR...pass off to the "Range" logic. THAT is what I'm trying to have happen ultimately...

A Scalp can pass off to Trend, or Range (etc) logic.
Over-Bough/Sold can pass off to Trend (top/bottom was caught...counter success), Scalp (Indecision implied. Bank and wait.), Range.

Anyway...its interesting watching the thing roll. Constantly (and dynamically) updating what it considers a trade to be...and therefore...how to handle it. Hedges aren't built into it, but occur naturally, just because of what it considers the state of things to be.

V Interesting but watchout that we are in trending this month and not in "normal" markets. Backtest your system in Q2 to Q3.2011 (extreme chop in wide range) and Q1 2007 and before (notmal markets as we are going there this year) if it pass especially the extended chop test...it is in a good track ..otherwise I would double check before going further ....my 2 cents....
