Had to also adjust TP and SL opening and closing but the TP was too high so it would close the buy at loss then open sell then close at loss then open a buy. Might be too low a TF but still playing with it

for a 1 HR TF would would say the HAS should be set to 2,3,2,4 as per Kos
will play with it

Hello did u download correct files

1. !TLE_HAS_KOS_adj - to be in Expertsindicators folder
2. T101 Basket Trader v2.2 -- to be in Experts folder
3. set files.

on demo a/c drag T101 Basket Trader v2.2 on 5 min chart

1. Common tab
a . Allow Live trading - click
b. Allow DLL Imports - click
2. Inputs tab
a . click on load - now browse to the set folder located and select 14 pair.set

NOW PRESS OK - THATS IT

Hi George,

Good to hear that you've been having success with the EA (manual) and also with Kos's method. I will definatly be playing around with the settings/time frames to see if I can arrive at a successful outcome. Thanks for your invaluble input, will talk soon.

Yes I have the EA that trades it the way I want it. Before now many attempts have been made to code one, but we could not get it to just take one basket per change of HAS direction, that means if it take a trade and BE or SL or hit Trailing then it should wait for the next change of direction by HAS else many time it just get in on the peak of retracement, But that has been fixed now and its working.

Recipe for disaster

Dear basket traders,
I like to give us a quick reminder of how good systems in the past have failed.
a) addition of several indicators
b) automation
c) greed

To avoid failure with this method, below is my 2cents advice
a) Keep it simple. I honestly believe that HAS is enough. Most of the indicators are simply moving averages with different methods of reading prices. I even removed VQzz since HAS H1 is good enough to confirm trend change and occasionally use Blau ergodic when i'm not too sure.
b) Avoid EAs. Manual trading is the best. Trade management EA can help limit emotions. So rather than completely automate, you can partially-automate.
c) Avoid overtrading.

Well as always, having no patience at all just opened a C5 basket at 66, after the last bounce of the 15m.

Thanks to GVC (two hours watching my charts one by one) the EA is running in real acc waiting for the 1H to turn red.

If everything runs smooth the target is at 62

About the EA's debate I think that should not be used in full auto mode.

A solution to avoid the numerous posts on EA's and indies is to be accompanied by clear instructions, because most people in here cannot read the code. In my case I had changed the name of "Heikin Ashi smoothed" to HAS 15m, not knowing that the !TLE reads that file to open trades.

Thanks again to GVC and Kos for a great trading package.

Very well said and I agree completely. An EA should be used to manage the trade, not make blind entries for you. Also, let me remind people that there is no holy grail. There will be losses in this method of trading as well. All the pretty, colorful indicators you load on your chart will make it only worse in the long run. Not to mention that the thread will be that much more confusing for new people coming in. Then we get the same questions over and over again. Are we using this indicator, what are the settings, what time frame can I use it in, blah, blah, etc, etc. All the tools are already in the thread, so lets use them to make entries, manage the trades, make money, and repeat.

For some reason the offline chart is not updating unless I click "refresh", any idea how I can sort this out?

Make sure the "allow dll imports" box is checked under the common tab in the basketv6 indicator. If not, check it, then close the platform completely (not the chart window) and re-open it. It should work fine.
