Smallest annual trading range in 8 years or so....still have to read the report

What is more concerning is the anemic intraday ranges on zero

Ah...ok, I see. Only futures I've traded are indices and oil. Just never had the option. Have definitely noticed tighter spreads on the futures, too.

May be picking your brain a little.

Are currency futures any more "centralized," so to speak?

Its a fine reason to like them! Sure..you'll get some bad fills and blah, blah, blahs, but it beat 10:1 or 20:1. I won't often leverage up like a loon, but the option is nice!

First mini momentum hurdle done from Greece but as I mentioned on the Q outlook IMO, US is in full control for this swing with the fiscal cliff mumbojumbo etc. Equities TA wise are done for the year (FA fiscal cliff left) in my books with lots of air in between for a wide range until later next year. ES and DAX references 1440.xx/1400xx and Dax 746x/723x. In Gold yearly highs wide open for a test 1800.xx depending on the US fiscal FA trigger and Oil forming a a very important steel long term support at 84/85 that if confirmed at the end of the year will not be taken back for a very long time (+ couple of years)

The only one left for the end of the year is Dollar that is flirting to enter in trending mode. Watch-out for dollar pairs exploding on extreme (intraday/daily) moves. Euro inches away from a serious attack to the last highs (1.313x) a break is just air until final target (yearly highs). Cable with Carney as a new BOE Governor (uff finally King is out thank god ...it was prolly the worst CB of the decade) to 1.650x for reference and AUD to 1.080x for reference.

Nothing new to see until the fiscal cliff, deficit bla bla. Final push of the year TAwise will come with the monthly roll.

Easy part of the moves done across the board after Greece bailout so adjusting stops accordingly until further data.

I'm looking more...toe-dip at 1737ish and get real around 1730ish.

Again...I may sit it out until it makes a move. I feel like its a game of a pool and the balls need to be broken before I can tell what I'm shooting for.

I run 10 period averages on range. Of course its never going to be exact...but it gives me a bit of a feel....

The weekly Range AVR = 1.3136
The Monthly Range AMR = 1.3175

and the TL is at 1.3096

Might be heading to that trend line... if the pace does not pick up it will be new years before it reaches it.
