Hello everyone,
I am using tradeinterceptor on my iphone as my trading software. I am trying to recreate the THV Trix indicator by manually combining 2 Trix indicators. Does anyone know if I only need to find the same periods used by the THV or is any other calculation involved ? My intuition tells me that there is some other things involved and that I will never manage to exactly recreate the THV trix on my iphone, but could someone tell me what are the 2 best periods (fast and slow period) I can use to be as close as possible. For the moment I am using the 15 and 9 periods, but i think I could do better.

Could anyone help me ?

Reading this thread for quit a while, and the system really works great!
But like many other traders, I get problems with the indi "THV3 FFcal2"---

1st. I changed the URL to "http://www.forexfactory.com/ffcal_week_this.xml", then it stoped giving out errors, but I don't think it's geting any news from the Server? Just like the attached image, it always act like that, so I don't know if there is any problem, could any one help please?

2nd. I noticed that there exist a indi named "THV4 FFcal", maybe it hided really too deep in the thread for a men to find it in just 4 months, so if anyone have the original file, could U please upload it?

By the way, if possible(really not sure about this), hope Cobra can someday update the vey 1st post to refresh the complete V4 files(indis,Manual, aso,aso...), to give all the new comers a relatively easier way to get started with this Great System.

Just go to first page all the indicator set is in there; the latest THV system is THV3.0

could you please tell me what the name of the Indicator in your Chart is.

It is in Post 24,145 in this Thread, the second Chart.

The Indicator shows black and white dots in a wave.

Can somobody point me where can i read about the TRIX? How it work howmany bars it redraws?

If you are using UseLoss_by_Batch, it is only right that your hard SL is further away. Otherwise there is no point in setting UseLoss_by_Batch as it will never be activated as your hard/system SL will kick in first.

Trailing by last close candle actually move your hard SL for you to maximise your profits.

First of all, Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat work, this EA really solves many of my problems, thank U for the work!
Notice that U haven't posted for a while, so hope U can get this

Get 1 questions about "Trail_By_Candle_HL" & "Preceding_TP":
I turn this 2 ON with ATR_Target_Profit on;
while trading, ATR TP was set a bit far away from the price mainly because I set the period to "5-6";
the question is: the Preceding_TP don't act like it should(move Target (TP) to precede price), is this because:
1th. "Trail_By_Candle_HL" is not treated as a "trailing stop" method;
2nd. the "Preceding_TP" will be really active when price goes beyond hard TP(which is set by the ATR for more profit taking);
or Something else?

Hoping U can notice this post & give me some light

can anyone help me? i try to install that great system from cobra. to be honest i am totally confused! whats the latest version? thv 3 or thv 4? wich file do i have to download and how? sorry but there are all this folders confusing me. i'm not totally new in forex but i just don't see through in this case..

I am also trying to recreate the THV indicators on another platform. The fast and slow trix are really throwing me for a loop. I think I have a trix (triple exponentially smoothed MA I believe?) but no matter what settings I use I cannot seem to imitate the fast and slow trix. I am starting to wonder if the fast and slow trix are really some type of smoothed MACD?

and what i know till now is,

The Coral is a MA between 50 and 60 but till now i cant manage it to have the same thing.

Thats the magic of THV. Its a unique accuracy till now with its indicators..
