I don't see a level there, IF I wanted to trade this pair I'd be looking around either 0.9884 short or 1.0195 long. Big levels, big swings.

Look on the D1 and you can see how it's ranging.

Seems only to be a support/resistance reversal of the last swing point rather than a retest on a decent support level built up over time. I wouldn't count the touch you marked back on the 24th Oct as a swing point, although granted there is a small flip zone there.

It worked, that's great but would you honestly be willing to play that trade at $10 a pip? I wouldn't.

Maybe Rust it's because I'm on a bit of a discipline drive and being mighty picky about my own trades at the moment. I don't know if you saw or heard about Tom's Johnson & Johnson trade recently but it made me realise that a lot of what I was trading just wasn't really A+ trades, I'd become a lot less exigent and undisciplined.

I do realise however as small account fish we do have to get stuck in and crack a few that a trader with $100,000 acct wouldn't even consider, and with a bit of luck we can hang on long enough to grow that account and then only take the Johnson type trades.

Nothing wrong to get more picky. I'm still refining my touch trades on a daily basis.
Yes, i know the J&J trade. The only bad thing about it is that those don't come every day
About my trade on nzdsgd, i found the PPZ pretty clear and not washed, with a clear as day breakout (no buttkiss at all), so it suited my pickyness level If trades of this caliber make me more money than they lose, i have no problem to take em even if they can't touch the J&J one
So my goal here is to find out what result these got me over time, through my record. Just like the_wizard recommends

Almost done reading 254/300 pages.
Edit: DONE!!!! A LOT of charts read, and I believe I am much the better for it. Quidsey your charts are beautiful, I saved so many of your charts, and Sam your picks are spot on. I look forward to turning my novice inequities into dust and becoming successful with your fine fellows help.


Edit 2 (because I don't like double posting): Maybe you guys can give me a second opinion. EJ made a large spike Wednesday/Thursday all the way up to the trend line down and a decent resistance area. After Thursdays rally I realized what I thought to be a SFP on the daily, and went short on the next bar as it was showing bearish movement. The end of the day Friday ended up being a "hanged man" candle stick (actually more like a doji as the body is SUPER small almost non exist) Which generally means that whatever direction the swing was in ran out of steam and should reverse unless the buyers in this case decide to rally for another push up.

Now I held onto this over the weekend because I'm confident that with the resistance area near overhead as well as falling trend line support with the SFP (i think) showing that we're in for a good correction or continuation of the overall downtrend. The news is saying BOJ is holding off on more easing till at least December if not q1 2013 due to rocky elections in japan. Also the dollar seems to be making a short rally in light of the fiscal cliff talks the president is trying to make headway on. Fundamentally I feel that leaves the euro weaker due to a strengthening dollar, and if the BOJ holds off the easing then the yen should be stronger than the euro.

My opinions and thought process on this trade, I'd like to hear others thoughts and opinions though.

I think the guys still do the skype room, not sure how active it's been as of late.

I'll let someone else get back to you on the EJ trade...I'm still new to SFP trading and would probably prefer a stronger level to see PA at. Just me.

Mezzy, I don't have an SFP on that swing, but I would be interested in seeing an SFP up at 104.58.

I'm not great with the fundies but it's clear that this JPY is rattled for the moment.
