Hi Mark308,

Renko size is 5 digits on pathfinder trader, for 2 pip Renko is 0.00020. Price Range is 1 digit with no desimal - 1 or 2. How can you match them?I did keep getting error massage while trying. I contacted Fastbroker a few times still can't get the Renko bar to work correctlly. the best answer I got is it should use Tick by Tick date instead of Time based on their email back which I do not know how to do.

518pips -Price range is based on ticks, so 1 corresponds to 1 tick or 0.00001 on forex. So to match 0.00020 you should type 20 for price range.

looks better, but still does not reflects the price action. Renko needs to be draw with tick date and Renko box has to be based on pip size. You could have 100 ticks at the same price level. I have 10 Renko boxes on my MT4 and only 8 boxes on Pathfinder. My bad, I was using Tickrange. I will try pricerange to see.
A Pathfinder update was just released with some fixes and improvements. Anyone who is tired of MT4's tricks and slow execution should give this software a try.

i've dowloaded the Demo for Pathfinder.

The problem: it doesn't show any datafeed. Cantīt get access to quotes, charts, or anything elese for that matter.

How do i get past this?

Hi Folks,

I recently heard about this broker and would like to know about your experience with it. I know this hasnt been very popular but read in some forums that its good.
I have downloaded and installed PathFinder but yet to test demo trading on it.

I am from India so not sure how tough or easy the wire transfer is but any pointer towards this would be greatly appreciated.
Also if someone can share the trade execution experience, commissions and spreads on EURUSD that wud be great.

The spread would depend on what brokers feed you went with because Fastbrokers are an IB for various brokers. I have an account with Lmax which you can use through Fastbrokers and their spread is 0.2 to 1 on EUR/USD but usually around 0.4 most the time and even negative sometimes. I think from outside the US you get a choice between 3 brokers Lmax, FXDD currenex and one other currenex which I am not sure about.

Thanks Mitch77. They are currently giving LMAX, Cnxa, Cnxb type accounts for me. FXDD isnt into picture. the problem is min deposit of $2500.
Do you know any other broker with equal or less commission and spread but less initial deposits?

I am not sure of a broker that would have a lower spread but Pepperstone I have heard are good and they have a low deposit of $200 I think for their ecn account. They are based in Australia so are legit. You could have a look at myfxbook broker spreads for a comparison as they have most of the main brokers listed. I would make sure you go with a broker that is well regulated as spread isn't everything.

I just started using it and opened an account. Too buggy some indicators don't work right and some chart overlay does not work right. Download the demo and find out for yourself. I don't want to sound like I'm bashing the software. However, the spread is great i'm currently on cnxb live feed. eur/usd usd/jpy would sometimes go to .2 pips spread. Never seen that anywhere for a US brokerage except this one. So far trading fastbrokers allows me to scalp forex which is great. Just the platform I don't like it that much blehhh... again too buggy.

They should be realeasing Version 3 of their platform very soon, which is supposed to have many great improvements. Also any bugs you find, report them and they will usually be fixed right away - they are great at listening to their customers.

I also have downloaded the demo version of PF and started using it for last couple of days. To be honest I am also kind of lost in it. I am not getting comfortable in making trades with it. Yesterday I bought EU at a price by simply clicking in the green blank window on the right hand side but I cudnt get a place to put a SL in it. Also I was having a hard time placing a sell order becoz I had to scroll up to find a higher price but it was coming back to the current window automatically. Charting also isnt that good or you can say I am not feeling comfortable like I am in MT4. So not sure if I will go with it or not.

Any idea if they have MT4 platform as well for trading because I really like the spreads. If they have MT4 I can open an account.

I did some research on another broker called Ducascopy. I had a nice time with the support team to clear my doubts and queries. They were patient in answering all the questions. They US based account has minimum deposit of $5000 however their Europe based account only required $100 to start with. I was comfortable with them 100% & wanted to register for a demo. What I found is that they dont offer a direct MT4 platform becoz they have their proprietary platform called JForex. I didnt like that much.

Any idea if we can trade in Ducascopy via MT4 platform directly? There is a plugin which feeds data into Jforex but the trading platform wud be JForex and not MT4. Appreciate your thoughts.

You can set it to place a stop from the chart by right clicking it, right clicking above a current price is a buy stop, left click below current is a sell stop. You can also include an OCO so once you enter a trade there will be an automatic stop and limit target. The scalper book moves too fast so it's impossible to place a limit price order there without freezing it first. To freeze it you have to hold down the shift key and place a limit order. You can scroll up and down the scalper book for your limit order. Right clicking instead of left at the scalper book also places buy/sell stops. Make sure it's not locked though otherwise you will not be able to scroll. You can scroll up and down the scalper book by using your middle button. So far I like the chart trading and the scalper book. Just kinda buggy but so far for now I only see minor problems. I have a live account with them but I won't start trading live yet until i'm very familiar with the platform. I am not familiar with the broker you mentioned but I will look into them.

Thanks Maflip. I really appreciate you taking time out in explaining this in detail. I will definitely check them out. I understand that its a new platform for me & I need to spend some time before getting to any conclusion.

Yup I created 3 bug reports. I also posted it into their forum. I hope version 3 fixes these bugs. Three line break chart would also show funny results sometimes. It's funny when its supposed to show a red down bar it post a green up bar. Market rallies and it draws a red bar. I'm like OMFG lol anyway.

Oh! thats not a good news. I am from India & I asked them the same thing - They say they accept clients from India. However MB Trading doesnt accept clients from India. Strange. Different brokers, different policies.

Yes, they are bascially an IB that provide their own Platform. I didntt intend for the discussion to be solely platform/software related, however this is one of the biggest benefits of opening with them.

I'm sure if you asked them in the Live Chat they would tell you in more detail who they work with. Please post if you find out.
They work with ALPARI US I know because I recently opened an account and my deposit is with Alpari. Alpari have a bad reputation on standard accounts due to many requotes. But I have a pro account so supposedely no requotes and I trade on ECN.

They do not answer questions on their forums (especially concerning their api).
They make me sick.. Never came across such idiots.
