i am getting a macd cross down on my m15 offline chart...there also seems to be a minor resistance, but everything says buy...its best to wait for a break-out...remember the general bias is still bearish, and its Monday...gotta be careful..

Morning guys.

1st of all : It's Monday, and London isn't open yet. The PA is extremely choppy, and you have no direction whatsoever yet unless it's based on technicals.

2nd of all : You jost got in a trade. Keep your composure, and don't start jumping in and out of trades at the first sign of drawdown. Keep the mental stop-loss hard and trade the plan, not what you want to see.

3rd of all : I've decided to put my fractal indi here. Basically, it's a way of securing profits, but the sure-most point is after the lowest candle by fractal closes. It paints a lowest point of current fractal. Use it at your own risk, and test-drive it. It keeps you glued to a screen, but hey ... It insures some profit for me, might do the trick for you. I usually use it on M15 and H1 with input 3 as bars. It was a pain to program it, so treat it gently.

Test-drive it a bit, look backwards, and be aware that the indi repaints (not by much, but it still does) until the candle is closed. You'll see that it gets most tops and bottoms after a candle, and you'll see even re-entry points.

Being somewhat of a swing-trader, I find it very usefull.

Veterans Day in US (long weekend after friday), that's not that you should not trade... but imho at least wait for London to open.

Here is something similar to your indicator, adjustable fractals, provided by mladen at another forum.

Yep, provides a small count of turning points.

Thanks for the indi's, no disrespect intended, but I know precisely what my indi does, that's why I'm pretty reluctant in trying mladen's. But will give them a try, maybe there's some way I could code mine better, or something that slipped.

Use 200LWMA or 200EMA for trend. Trade in the direction of this MA.

No problem, it's just a fractal indicator that shows fractals with flexible settings. With the standard 25 setting it looks for 12 higher and lower bars before and after the swing h/l before it's confirmed. You can use any setting, 5 would be the standard fractal, two before, two after and one in the middle. Mladen is "kind" of good and I have found this indicator to be trusted, understand though that it's easier to trust what you made yourself and tested thoroughly.
