Price Action Trading with Indicators! The Freebie System

I always trade with the trend from a higher timeframe e.g. H4

Look for a series of HH/HL or LL/LH on the H4 and trade in that direction on the lower timeframes.

But be aware of range (ADR), wait for good pullbacks etc.

Too all of my trading cohorts,

Apparently, I must be a slow learner...it has taken me right at two weeks (2-3 hours a day, as I have a very full-time job) to read and understand Dred's System through page 153. I had a comfortable grasp after the first few pages...the original explanation by Dred. However, with all of the different indicators that are presented, versions of other trading systems, and an inordinate amount of time spent on discussion of pivots, I have been overwhelmed at times. Thanks to Dred and Paulus, who discuss strictly Dred's System, I believe that I am finding my comfort zone for the first time. Don't misunderstand me, there are numerous other members that have contributed to this thread with Dred's System at the forefront, and I thank you as well. I realize that I am not even half way through the pages, but I am committed and will see it through...I am convinced that Dred's System works, and that at some point in the near future, I can be a successful trader as many of you are enjoying. So, starting with page 154, when I have a question or a comment, I will not be reluctant to post.

I feel very fortunate to be a part of this group, and thanks to Dred and many of you, I feel for the very first time a sense of excitement that I can be successful in the exciting business of trading.

I absolutely do not understand...Divergence RSI + CCI + System + Freebie signal S / R that you started your post out with...Greek to me. The only trading jargon that I understand is that related to Dredd's System of trading. I am sure that others on this thread understand; however, it is these instances that have taken me so long to read the through the first 160 pages on this thread. I simply don't have time time to investigate everything that I don't understand. Please remember that a high percentage of us on this thread are trying to learn Dredd's System of trading, and that alone is challenge enough. I will simply skip over and move on to that which I am familiar with.

Have some common characteristics that I believe Dredd and I share...ADD, obsessive compulsive, and at times may be curt.

Never have to guess what is on my mind,

Hey ST,

There is an old adage, "Misery Loves Company". I can certainly relate to your condition...had two back surgeries and will probably never totally recover from them. The hardest thing for me is to sit for an extended period of time in a metal chair. I have a full time sedentary job, but I can assure you that the chair I'm in at this moment is top shelf.

Wish I could have been a part of Dred's thread when it was first introduced. After reading through the entire 400 pages plus for the second time, I miss comments by the early members like Sorento, Paulus, pmullins86, bluexpec, ST, and many others. Wonder what happened to them. It saddens me that they are no longer active on this thread...that's life. Contributions by Dred and all of his followers have certainly made an impact on my trading results...very positive I might add. It has been a great trip, and I want to thank all of the personalities and their varied insights to trading Dred's system. The many hours that I have dedicated to this thread have been an investment for my family's future...not an expense.

We are all still around and all chat still when we have time....

You should DL Skype...most of us are on there all week long....Or atleast for an hour or so ....

Hi Dredding82,

Thanks for the pm replied. I did read the first post and didn't use the given indicators as I though they are incomplete. Right now I have loaded the template and indicators in my demo and live accounts. The testing of the demo will be done progressively. As for the live account, of course I will trade when opportunity does appear . BTW the pivot indicator PivotForFreebie has drawn lines M3,P,M2 and S1 for which I do not understand as I thought pivot lines would have R2,R1,P,S1 and S2. Hence can you enlighten me the meaning of these symbols, otherwise I will continue to read the rest of the posts to find it out myself.

Finally, the fail to pivot when long if all TF have HA up candle or when short if all TF have HA down candle. The all TF I guess referring to M15,H1 and H4 if I am not wrong, then I am a bit confuse as for order confirmation where the three TF candle close to either green or red, which mean it could take abt 4 hours to confirm the order. Would you mind to provide the experience on how handle this situation.

Hey, D! This looks good, but since it's midnight here I'll have to watch it tomorrow. I wish I had hit the Big Time by now but I'm still just slightly less than Break Even on my trading. I'm trying to focus on PA but still not "getting it" I guess. I talked to Invictus lately, but he must be on vacation or something right now. I guess I'll have to come back and re-read your stuff too, especially regarding D1 trading, which is what I'm doing now because it's REALLY hard for me to daytrade during the busy times. I still believe I'll be a successful trader, but hope it doesn't take another 5 or 10 years to get there!

Hey Dredd. I know that you started this thread by saying that the longer the time frame, better the result. However, I see by your screenies that you trade on m15 mostly. I myself use simple price action on D1 and above TF's only . Can this system help me confirm PA if I decided to move on a lower TF like H4? Btw, why don't you trade higher Tf's using this syst? Cheers m8.

"It can be used on ANY TF......ANY Session......ANY PAIR or STOCK!!....that is up to you and what you like to trade! The higher the TF the more pips....just as any other system! I use it on the M15 for Day Trading myself and i also use it on the H1-D1 for longer TERM TRADES! You Will Have Losing Trades....Nothng is 100%"
