Nothing to do with this method. Just to show that when you are ready, you can pull pips out of any market. The key is do not be greedy and find the flow. +45 and I am done.

Once you have some trading basics you can apply any method, to any pair on any time frame. You just have to do some back tests on the pair/time frame to see what likely stops etc etc needed.

We now focus on eur and gu only as they go well most of the time. I cannot help looking at ej now and again just out of interest. When we were trading jpy we were very, very careful going CT. I must say the simple add of 32lwma on 1hr even for ej seems to work well.

I have marked the 4 trades on a 1 min chart. Might make it more visible for you. This is not a scalping thread so I am not going to teach this here, or anywhere else for that matter.

But, I use a 3 pip stop and 10 pip target set automatically as I enter the trade.

I'm new to this method and I would like to give it a try but there are 9000 posts here and I don't know from where to begin. I read the documentation from 1st post, S3 E-U method.pdf but I still didn't fully understand what X-Man meant when saying "When theres a cross or bounce on TDI when theres a crossing at 12 to 2 o’clock for long, crossing at 6 to 4 O'clock for short". Is he speaking in Army language like 12 oclock means straight ahead?

If you could brifly explain the method(also good for the other newcommers) it will be very much apreciated. Meanwhile I will continue to read the last 200-300 posts.

I'm new here and want to thank you for posting these links, as I have been struggling through the thread for last week.

Is it ok for a newbie to ask questions here or do you more experienced guys prefer to post as you see fit and keep the thread clean ?

Just completed a nice Asian session trade.....just happened to be at my computer and saw a cross of the TDI.....intended to scalp 15 or 20 pips....actually ended the trade on a pullback from the H1 200EMA.
Done for the day....time for some sleep.

Very nice. Insomnia is not normally known to be a profitable condition, medically speaking, but perhaps we should get it added to the list of symptoms!

Sensible questions are fine, but not ones that have allready been answered many times and can be found in the attachments section or via a search.

Thank you so much Dee...really appreciated. I've almost finished reading the documentation; got asnwers to most of my questions. Now the best thing I can do is to start testing the strategy. I will post some charts from time to time with my results. Cheers

3 trades for today, 1 was a really poor entry. So far +44 pips.

1st trade was a simple Breakout from the low of the asian session for +10

2nd trade was a botch up based on the hourly signal, if I had looked at the 15min stochs I would have seen that it was OS and a pullback was likely, so I closed for B/E.

3rd trade Pullback confirmation of the hourly signal. Pullback to the Support of the asian low. Small Pinbar. LH after LL. Reaction to the election has been so muted today that I took partial profit at +16 and moved stop to B/E took final profit at the 61.8% fibo, I would normally go for the 78.6%, but, +34 pips was acceptable.

Update: If only I had known Donīt you just hate "hindsight"

Did someone mention "fiscal cliff". Volumes just went thru the roof. This was a major selling attack otherwise known as a "Panic Attack". This is why the world is F____D. 56,000 contracts traded in the last hour. Avg is about 10 -15,000

Do not forget that moves like this play havoc with your indicators.

Do not worry if you did not catch any or much of this move, nobody can forsee this sort of action.

Could I have your opinion on the following order?
I just entered short on AUDUSD. From the attached 4H TF I could see a strong bearish trend, big red candle under the 4EMA (yellow line) also TDI cross (marked with blue).
I have a concern about this. If I switch on daily TF view the trend appears bullish and we have Support at 1.04115 (red line).
I would appreciate your comments

Options :
1 - Close the trade at +50 pips profit
2 - Move SL to BE and let it run (or either trail the stop 5 pips behind previous candle)
3 - Close 50% of the position, move SL to BE and set TP2 as 100 pips profit

All options seems very positive to me.

I was partially away again, so wasn't able to catch them all.

Still:

- DAX short. 1st entry yesterday night, second today during prime trading time (once for a change), 80 and 90 pip. I stupidly closed manually when hitting very old support line and on bounce from SMA100 on h1. Again to soon. Missed GBPUSD and EURUSD shorts today completely as I was away or didn't dare enter later on. Well, easy to judge now, I know. I traded this on SAXO account I have, and since there is not TDI I "cheat" by using RSI.
- EURUSD long for almost 2 days for 85 pips (hit preset TP to the pip; was prior bottom)

Total 245 pips in 3 trades. That's the good part. The bad one is, I should have closed 500-700 easily on stated 3 pairs only.

Anyway... I think they were nice trades, TDI helped a lot, some of you guys also provided at least spiritual help by up-keeping this (and some other) great threads. Thank you. Despite all I can only stress again and repeat after the great traders of this forum: price action is first, TDI is great confirmation.
