I've designed a small EA (still in testing the locking part) that locks according pip-wise, not profit-wise.

I'm looking to lock 50 pips, not 50$. Will enhance it more and will post it here when I look at it and feel proud of the work done.

It has a SL after 200 pips at BE, that's what I'm sure about. I'm currently trying to design it's reversal signal appropriation and Trailing the SL from BE to 50 or 100 pips plus after it's reached X profit in pips.

Don't have much time, though, as work keeps me busy. Will update when I can.
Please, just slap me around if I'm being silly ...

would like to see how that is possible on the offline chart or would trail individual pairs of normal chart.

Nope, it loops through current orders (as I mommentarilly just keep 1 basket open) that have a certain magic number, cummulates the profit and checks through program.

After it does so, it closes or trails (as needs be). It's , more commonly said, a checker of the basket status. It loops through all open orders, verifies the magic number, and if it corresponds it sums up the trade's profit. After that, it's just a matter of closing at some point.

And it does this cycle at every 0.5s.

im using it on Demo a/c

does need to change any settings when applied on Live a/c ?

Nope, no changes at all. It works on demo and on live exactly the same, from what I can see.

do you thing it is wise if I close my +500 here at this point? considering the trend line on the 1hr TF offline chart and seeing how its been providing support previously from back on the green arrows.

Observing the previous H1 behavior - the pattern shows support at this or a few pips below, i just closed my basket and saw ur q here.... i wud close it with 500+. Though ur experience surpasses mine with this

Hi Kos,

I don't have much trust in Support and Resistance when trading baskets. The "price" of the basket is only a mathematical addition of prices from the 14 pairs.

I do not believe that the mass of people look at those levels/trendlines, so the basket price will probably not respect those levels.

But anyway, if it works...

Thanks Kos for this great system.. a little too soon entry I think? I was think it is a pullback.. closed manually at 248 pips with this demo.. got 70 pips in real.. any other advices for my entry and exit? thanks all..

any change you can give it an option to use trade comments as well as magic numbers - i buy and sell using comments so i can see the groups under my trade tabs.

what you may also find is that they work better, because they are a reflection of multiple points of S&R found through out the market place and not just limited to a single pairing.

at present i have 3 sell baskets,

universal pairs,all sell reversed u/c 800 pips in profit,opened friday after data news

original pairs,all sell reversed u,chf. u/cad. opened this morning 300 + pips

indicies all sell 140 profit at present

when roro is in total agreement,everthing will conform.without that agreement risk is increased

your trade - your choice.......

i'm holding though - i see a potential for approx 400pips more edit: most likely a spike through and not a extensive run, to much support in the general area, but the longer term charts are seaking the push to this area.

but i could be wrong

+500 is more than I want. Maybe you can use EA to protect the profit.
I draw the strong S&R in H4 chart.

BTW, I think ECH is no need trading. Like u said, it doesn't affect the basket too much. Maybe I can exclude this one next time.

so true! I find very useful following the indices.
indices down--> basket is short
indices up --> basket is long

reverse to what?


trade what the charts tell you, take your pips, then look to see what the charts tell you next.

long term the charts are long, but if you only trade the weekly charts, you miss out on a few thousand pips created through the waves of the lower tf's.


Just be aware of the markets direction so you can decide when to hold the trades or fold the trades.
