I was curious. What happens if you only take TDI signals with minimal use of PA knowledge, S&R, Trendlines etc. In other words virtually no technical knowledge similar to a virgin trader.

The signal can only occur maximum 1 bar back outside Trading time. Or bounce trade entry.

Trades are terminated on the dot of the close of your trading time eg. (my chart time 18.00. GMT +2)

Hi PHX, Dee, Vantage, smarco and other traders

Do you trade other currency pairs, like the other majors (AU, GU, EJ, GJ, UC, NU)?
The same principles that we apply to EU with this system work perfectly well on other pairs?

Or do you think we need to somehow adapt our way of trading depending on the currency personality?

Definitely we would need to adapt the TP and SL due to the different volatility and ADR of each pair...

Would like to hear your thoughts about this issue.

Very interesting......Big E did a couple of similar studies where he took every trade on the cross of the TDI (within the parameters of his trading plan) with similar results. Those results are on the Trading Made Simple thread.

This system can be adapted to any currency pair but you are right...each pair has it's own personality....I have done some work on the GU pair and have found much bigger spikes that take out a normal EU stop loss a lot more often. AU does not normally produce as many pips but moves very similar to the EU....GJ is called the "Beast" for a reason...it can produce big pips and big losses in a hurry.
I trade EU almost exclusively....occasionally I take a trade on AU or GU.
Some day soon, when I finally retire and have more time to trade, I will investigate these other pairs more deeply.

It is a very large thread, you can not remember approximately when he did this, so I can narrow down the search.

I can not help you here. I trade the eurusd exclusively. I have never found a reason to look at any other pairs as I have a strategy for each market condition so i can trade this pair whatever it does. But if you intend to stick with this method and no other, then the best I can advise is to backtest a couple to see how this method performs, although I am allmost certain that it will be your MM that will have to change not this method.

Good work ,Dee,can you please tell me what are the arrows?.
My entries are getting better on the demo account , but its the old problem of good exits i'm struggling with,I tend to close if I have about 15/ 20 pips, but when i go live i will only have modest targets , i now live in the far east , so small profits would be ok for me 50/60 pips a week would be good . thanks so much for posting your charts and trying to help others .

When market is flowing nicely I suspect you'd actually be OK. Might get results dented from LO and pre/early US head fakes but all in all I think you would be OK.

However (and thats a big however) if that held true you would have simple ea's written for each system and everyone would be rich. This method, Big Easy's original heck even going back to the original fozzy threads (rsi/sma cross that I use) have had their share of success (frenzy) and then died down/fallen away.

For example this morning a reasonable move up earlier on EUR might give a 1hr buy signal. However we are in sell bias below our 4hr 8lwma (32 on 1hr and 128 on 15 min) so per our rules Mrs V sold 15 min engulfing neg close on GU. She will be looking for partial exit below RN and then letting balance run a little. A little human intervention stopped a loss and in early on a winning trade.

So trading it blind, might get lucky for a while, long term not sure.

the first time I learned about this thread, actually i was backtesting with this alone (TDI cross and synergy bar color change). Result was generally still positive but there were moments when you would lose 100 pips in losing streak due to ranging market etc. haha

Back test it. That way you find out what the limitations are. This method is no different. And any way, the objection to what I did should have been, that 1 week provided insufficient data to validate the result.!!!!

If you tend to close when you have 15/20 pips, why is this a problem? when you have a target of 50/60 per week.

yes, point taken, but it wasnt realy an objection, i know you only try to help , it was just a thanks to Vantage to tell us to be cautious,
