I personally trade with Kos,s theory (for over a year) amongst my own and obviously it works.... otherwise there would not be as...

Agreed!! All these types of post(questions&changes) have already been answered years ago if you truely follow BTS or bothered to read the original thread(s) from the master himself T101.

Constructive criticism is welcome mate, but trying to play down a thread owners idea without any meaningful contribution arent welcome. KOS has been basketing since a long time and successfully at that, I would say that if anyone wants to refute the findings or theory - that someone better post statistics and figures and proven results, otherwise such ppl can just stay away from the thread.
Sharing ideas is what we are here for

Unfortunately this is where the hard yards start, nearly all systèm look to work over a short test period. You now need to confirm your data either backtested or forward tested for approx 1 year to see if it holds merit

There is no right or wrong way to trade only the way that suits you, I'd suggest that you trade both Kos and your system side by side and post month end results. Then maybe start a new thread to keep each system clean as they are different methods

cost are relivant only when trading for small profits - ie scalping, in baskets we get to average out the spread across the multiple pairs and thus reduce trading costs over all, if we look at the avergae spread for a 14 pairs basket (i shared an excel so you can monitor you own broker if you wish) it's approx 45pips thats a 3.2 average, yet we yield 400pips more or less from a single trade, now compair that to scalping for 10 pips with a 2 pip spread?

with regards the lot sizes - were not hedging, we're trading market direction, so the original concept of basket trading with a perfect hedge is not an issue here, it's only an issue if you are trying to create a set of open trades that never lose and always maintain a zero balance - whilst you may have read that he fixed the system inbalance it was not taken up from a trading point of view - we don't track the profit/lose in $ we use pip counts to monitor movements amoung the pairs.

the goal of this system is early identification of market movement - then jump on board and ride the profit train

I got little problem when upload kos offline chart no meta I see it doesnt update itself still showing the same numbers I dont know how to update it could anyone help me thanks you

with FXCM you can also get RAW feed once your account has a big enough balance, you then pay a fixed rate per trade.

Ok I see. Fxcm is a regulated broker, so that makes sense. Have to say that the average spread you mentioned, kind of scares me of. In the other hand, regulation is something to look after, when choosing a FX broker.

that is there average, they do trade lower than that most of the time, but i don't believe many brokers offer much better, plus with FXCm as your account grows and your number of trades goes up, you can negociate better prices.

Now, let's stop getting off topic. Tomorrow will start a new day of trading and I am in. Would be nice to see, share and explore the trades with others, so we can compare and discus about exit's and whatever.

I have the same problem in a micro account with Finfx broker. No idea what to do. I'm sure the answer is on a post I'm missing...

Looking back at the 1100 15m candles (my mt4 freezes with more data) of the basketchart index of the original basket ant the reversed basket, it seems that the ORIGINAL is far more consistent with the market trend.

The reversed basket four times triggered wrong signal.

my opinion the offline chart should built with some factoring regarding to the pair strengt. it is dificoult to explain. may by like USDX.

think that way
if you trade
BUY EURUSD
SELL GBPUSD
SELL EURGBP
with same size
due to lots at some point it will start making profit or loss due to inbalance.
so in general when you trading the basket same direction you do the same thing.
you wait for the inblance carry you into profit zone. or cut when carry you into loss zone.
so balancing the offline chart will give you more correct signals my guess

in general what this system does;
with trading basket same direction you slowing the actual price movements with paying 14x cost.
when buying buy side & short side or vice verse it is just slowing the movement. this probably will cost extra swap also.

i love someone to tell me which broker should i use for my demo that make a lot of sense.. and i understand the price action of trader 101 but i don't understand this thread own i want someone to enlightening me on it

Great system Kos, nice and simple, I feel it's one which may well overcome the "trading demons " which a lot of us suffer from.

Can I ask a couple of questions please.

1. The count on the side of the chart, I presume it is the net pip count of the
basket, and to work out total pips in a trade just work from entry point to exit point on the side.
2. Has a working ea been developed for it. I recall various discussions around it , but I'm not sure if a working one has been finalised (that I can trace through the posts that is ).
3.To confirm , signals come from the "body colour" of the HAS,ignore the wicks, in conjunction with the colour change on the VQzz ?

I'm setting it up on my alpari demo account , hope I can contribute to the thread.
