Coming up to the D1 down trend so could play out nicely to short GBP/USD.

However, look at the triangle, it's getting ready for a major break out! Could go either way...

that pattern looks like accumulation for a spike.

Distribution usually happens on flat tops or rises similar to the pattern we see over last month but just reversed with higher highs.

However i see a bearish case if it made a higher high with that last major swing up on the weekly. Usually price stalls right before the resistance before a solid spike up.. If it broke resistance
then stalls it could be bearish. The pa bear
has not been convincing so maybe a new high to sell into is in order.

Certaintly dont see a case to sell here or buy in case another low comes. Its
flat for me

im already in short GBPUSD.... the GBPUSD is pretty strange pair to trade if you ask me... but i recently entered a EURUSD short... for 40 pips only.... im a bit wary of the fact EURGBP may bounce... but it may make a 2nd attempt before the up move on EURGBP/....

I agree with this considering the fact that the uptrend shown is actually a "Weekly" uptrend. I say GBP/USD will see 1.63 again. This is basically in confluence with my thoughts on AUD/USD reaching 1.05 as well.

During the Australian business day , in terms of importance , you could bracket this into 3 distinct groups ; Essential , Potential and Irrelevant .

Essential .
Unemployment Rate
CPI
GDP
Chinese GDP
Chinese Manufacturing PMI (both HSBC & NBS)

Potential
RBA Minutes
RBA SoMP
Trade Balance
Retail Sales
Chinese : CPI , Trade Balance and Industrial Production .

Irrelevant
PPI
New Motor Vehicle Sales
Building Permits (Approvals) and anything Construction related .
Home Loans
Private Sector Credit
New Home Sales .
Chinese PPI
Conference Board Leading index .
All other Indexes released by various financial institutions with the exception of Westpac's Consumer Confidence which can cause the odd blip or two .

never broke the 49(low was 51)

73 is still pivotal and due to its significance a 4HR close under that level is needed to start selling rallies onthis pair....

Immediately to the top we have the 0396/0410 which is still strong, a break of that gives us a run to the 0432/0443

We know the downside levels...

I got out of e/a shorts for a loss of 5 pips. Still long on a/u, but not the most inspiring PA. It's moving up now, but it's not decisive. Ugly. I'll see how it moves around the swing at 1.0390 and make a decision whether to get out or not.

This is the 3rd time in 2 weeks that price is attacking the 1.039 - 1.04 area. Just a little more momentum and the 1.04 will break!

I'm expecting this to happen within 2 hours at this rate. Time will tell...

I will take partial profit at 83.45 as this area has proved to be pretty solid resistance for the second half of 2012.

No worries, there will be plenty more opportunities.

Hey Everybody,

I wanted to bring the following to your attention. If you have been following this thread then you will have read about Japan's current situation and the need for a weaker Yen.

I, along with many other analysts, believe that a long term trend reversal in regards to the JPY is in the making and it is literally right around the corner.

The articles above do an excellent job explaining the fundamental reasons why the JPY should / will weaken in the very near future and I am going to post a few charts for the technical reasons why JPY is about to weaken.

Weekly JPY Charts Include: USD/JPY, EUR/JPY, GBP/JPY, & CAD/JPY

**It is important to remember that US elections are coming up next week so it might be wise to wait until after elections before planning entry points assuming weekly trend lines are broken and confirmed. Also, wait for a Weekly close above TL's before looking for buy opportunities with JPY cross pairs.
