From my very first trade i pressed the wrong button. The trade went against me and i pressed every button available to close it. I came out of that trade crosseyed and a little panicky but nonetheless +25 pips. I wouldnt advise this methodology to anyone other than those ,like myself,who are lacking in grey matter....but it works for me .

Let's not worry about that ... as long as we can come out +

Ah! Hello - well I was trying out fileslap which i found today , to see what it was like for posting pictures.The indicator on the 1 minute chart is something I was trying out - which a friend of mine programmed on the prorealtime charting package.Something I've been testing out the past week or so.

It's got me looking at the lower time frames again. To be honest , I don't fully understand the indi. but I do know that it is more based on current PA rather than lagging info - will find out more. Buying a dip in an uptrend , I'm sure you know about , oscillator divergence a common method also - this pa indi has a buy and sell zone - obvious to spot when you look at it. i will try to find out exactly what the indicator .. err .. indicates and report back

as agreed I've the pleasure to share my analysis in your thread, that is worth of me. Of course I want to gain the max, i.e a million days to live and I'm ready to pay 365$ for that.
The 4H chart suggests us that a bear trend is begining and ask us to short this pair. Indeed, the price has clearly broken downward a rising H4 channel. If true, we can expect a retest of 79.08.
But in my opinion, this is not enough to short this pair, we have to look for confirmation in higher time frame.

In H8, my conviction is that a well trained eye will see a diamond. But I'm not acquainted with this figure to draw it correctly. Anyway, we have tested twice the veryLT trend line (bold red). We also tested twice and have broken twice mid term TL, resistance (white). We also tested and confirmed twice LT support (bold green).

Now, we are in a delicat situation, at the confluence of two channels, one upward, on downward. We are now, at the lower limit of the upward channel (green channel), and in the middle of the downward channel (red). If support confirmed, we can expect 80.35, the upper tl of the downward channel. If this resistance is broken we can expect further rise to 81.00 and why not the test of the high at 81.40.

In daily, we are at the support of a raising tl. If break, we can give more weight to the h4 analysis (bearish). If no break we can give more weight to h8 analysis (bullish).
A zoom out, of the daily, indicates that we are in a confluence zone of a raising TL support, a down TL resistance and near a fibo level (81.00).

In lower time frame, we have an accumulation/distribution zone. It seems to me that is more accumulation that distribution. This is why I bought just 1 lots at 79.71.

You sound like the pair itself - undecided - and undecided because it's rangebound...

weekly and daily chart here - I'm not gonna look at anything sub-D1 because the PA has been contracted in a 200 pip range since Summer - the market is undecided - what can seem like bullishness/bearishness can just turn on a dime - If it was me , I wouldn't trade this pair until it breaks this range - I'm sure there are opportunities there , but personally I would want the confidence given by a trend in place

these are just a couple more thoughts on it - you could draw a rising trendline from June I suppose , and we have just popped below it last few days - but because it's been going sideways for 10 weeks now - I believe it's the break of that range which will determine future PA -

Yes, you are right, but i wouldn't say undecided (because i'm decided for buying it) but uncertain yes I am, and it would be wise to get a clear trend or a break of the range you underlined.
I must admit that if I have a bias for long, it's due to usdcad. As you know, we have neg correlation between this two pair, it would be very surprising that UC goes through the parity without any resistance.
You must be right, and I admit also I'm doing consciously a beginners mistake, entering a trade by the fear of missing a good opportunity.

in any case - good point - parity a good s/r in the spring - in Summer when we dropped below it though - did it fairly easily - took 7 days with just a 70 pip bounce or so - have a look at this site for correlations - a good little tool :
