What program are you using to show your tick charts?

Also when you say you enter at #2 or #3, do you enter before or after the spike, because if you enter before you have no way of knowing if the area will hold but you get a very tight stop. If you enter after the spike you are chasing price and need to use a larger stop.

I watch the quotes, not tick charts. This is only to show you the ticks, because I can't show you how the quotes move. I have to make e video but it is time consuming process.
I buy downtick and sell uptick. This means that I enter exactly at point 2 or preferably point 3. If I miss, I just wait for the next set up or entry.
EUR/USD is the only pair I trade.

Early trades were based on correlations and quote reading. Stop is at -3p for the last trade.

Pretty good STE off 50 EMA. Stocks are supporting.
1st part +5.1p, 2nd +12.9p. Stop currently at -3p.

yes this big money is useful,but the big money is only good for long term persons.
so i want to know for short term trade side this concept .
also its good for all fxbase beginners i thing .
when all they use this way that time they got more sl or loss sure i thing.
because i follow a short term past 8months .its good for forex side base persons

STE at 100 EMA. Dax opened lower. Initial stop 4.2 pips. Entire position closed. US markets will be closed due to the frankenstorm Sandy and the liquidity will be lower than normal.

I took the same trade as you however I entered at the broken support area and 50 EMA. Just wondering why you entered at the 100 EMA instead of the 50 EMA with strong resistance?

I was waiting for the stock markets to open. Correlation is a very good filter.

This maybe a naive question, so please forgive me.

Could you please explain what the tick chart say in MT4 actually represents?

And what sort of information we can decode from it?

For example does the grid spacing actually mean anything and the way price moves with respect to the grid? For example, it is clear that movement (up or down) can happen very quickly within one grid space, now this implies volatility, but can we assume anything else from such movements within the grid. How many contracts does it take to move price, for example, with respect to the grid?

By the way how did you manage to save a your tick chart as a picture?

I don't like this tick charts because I can't distinguish clearly the consecutive ticks. I watch the quotes and use the tick charts only for illustration purposes.
The principle is very simple. Larger tick means larger order enters the market. If buy orders are larger than the sell orders (upticks are larger than downticks) this means that the bulls are stronger and vice versa.
