Right, but with your EA you must be in the Sell trade already so no need to reenter, just if you want to increase your positions.

hi kos,this basket was entered friday,im just playing on an old demo account ,

as i said previously i still trade baskets but in a slightly diferent aproach.

i would say though,that using the 14 pairs captures the move allowing for individual pairs to not conform because of there own relevent fundementals at that time,but still allowing a profit overall,which was the whole premise of trading the basket.
the only deviation from that for me is to trade only the yen pairs as a group when fundementals dictate so,this was descussed alot in the original thread.they can be extremly profitable and quite easy to capture,

i trade on my own account the original pairs with the usd/cad and usd/chf reversed,which acts accordingly 70 to 80 % of the time.

enjoying this new found interest youve created and your set up holds merit,

sure, but sometimes you are not there when it started, and the way it is coded, it will never join the trend once it misses the entry, so in that case you just enable re-entry and wait, so when it see the opportunity it will seize it for you while you are not watching.

that was good catch, but you know at a point in that thread USDCAD and CADJPY were remove and substituted with NZDJPY and one other one.

but whichever way is profitable to you is fine, just make sure the basket is really a basket.

will look at the JPY crosses as you said but when do I know that the fundamentals are dictating that way.

Yes, that's right.I was wrong , I got these two positions.
I would reverse have these two positions.

yes as you mentioned earlier in the thread these pairs were changed due to the fact many brokers didnt support those pairs and hence the new universal pairs were created for that reason,the only reason i still use the original pairs is because i spent so much screen time watching there movments that i couldnt change ,i was intune with them,in real terms the profit on baskets with either pair group was always quite similar as they are generally not pack leaders,having said that i have noticed over the years ,reversing those 2 pairs from the original basket often give 13 pairs in profit leaving only eur/gbp as a possible loss depending on euros strengh in comparision to gbp,thats the only pair i leave out.

every trade i make stems from watching the value changes of the basket,generally i only trade cable but as ive said before i still make basket trades when sentiment is extremly biased,
as nobody watches the IA which was the foundation of this method and then the revised excell viewpoint it would not be so easy to notice the times when one should only trade the yen pairs,
the way i view the basket is very simple and precise,i can notice very quickly an overall move in the yen,based on the value changes.

heres the way i watch the basket all day every day,it tells me when theres no harmoney ,range bound and trend .

today was almost the perfect basket,only the eur/gbp and usd/jpy failed to conform,

reversing the usd/cad and chf ,

anyways i dont want to detract from the thread to much,

ill keep it more in tune with your perspective

Attached is EA for you to playing around. Let's see whether it plays according to the rules.
You can use the EA manually open buy or sell basket or Close basket. Or just Autopilot to let EA do everything for you while you are busy to deposit your cash to the bank. When Basket Profit > CaskTakeProfitPerPair * Numberof Pairs (in this case 14), EA will close the whole basket.

Just Attach the EA to 15 minute offline chart. BTW, USDCHF and GBBCHF are reverse.

another day of not raising a finger to do anything apart from posting in this thread.

The sell basket from early Friday morning still continues, what can I do than to sit down and look. the profit is in +$631 as I type now.

will update when I close the basket

i just got the email alert working for me actually using the modified indi. try this one. it just sends "HAS ALERT". i not a coder but i hacked in the correct bit of code i believe.
