MSFT still has the best product computing era has produced and nothing looks like will surpass it for a long, long time :

I think 26 would be a nice area to buy for MSFT. If not that, then 16. If not that, then I would forget about the company.

sorry, i do not talk about share price. excel is genuine value, giving someone that can buy computer, and is smart,incredible power. nothing else compares.

if you work for msft, i can understand your bias.
i do not play tech stocks, or any other stocks. too manipulated.

I just compiled a document if anybody is interested. It pertains to Wall Street and Blue Chip companies including Microsoft.

By the way, it is a "Microsoft Word" document as I don't really use any other type of program for typing up documents... LOL

By the way, I think MSFT is a good buy/hold stock considering the facts.

OpenOffice is genuine value... it's free. Excel is indeed a very powerful application but only 5% of power users use all of the functionality. The other 95% want a simple spreadsheet application and why pay MS every couple of years for an upgrade that doesn't add much new apart from a new look and feel, when you can get the same basic functionality for free!

BTW, I don't work for MSFT, but I have been to their offices in Reading, UK on numerous occasions.

There are better blue chips out there. MSFT only has a 3.3% yield according to Yahoo Finance, but I'm not into stocks at all. However, I do see a major bull rally in equities but it will be a few years yet before this happens. The world needs to deleverage some more and governments need to show that their houses are in order before this happens.

That may be true. MSFT has averaged 9.9% per year during the past 5 years. Not bad...

Did you even take the time to read my document I put together? There is much more to it then just the yield of a company...

I agree with your document but I haven't seen a bottom in the US 10YR Treasuries yet. I certainly wouldn't be a buyer of them now, but the yields can still go lower.
