And out with a bang! Five CZ's this week on just this one cart. Highly unusual, but also very well recieved, thank you very much! Just look at those perfectly spaced steps!

I tried to check this system, but I noticed when I change some parameters, some boxes dissapears or shows up in different locations.

For example, when I set MinBarsClosedOutsideBO=0, there is box marked with red arrow on 1.jpg, but when I change MinBarsClosedOutsideBO to 4, box disappears (2.jpg)

Trusting everyone had a good week and wishing you all a great weekend

Attached are the results of my EU M5 sniping for the week.

The indi represents this weeks 5 days of trading. Max trades are set to 3 and I'm using a semi-Martingale strategy of 50% increase per leg.

I know this is outside of FH's M15 recommendation, and I wouldn't recommend it for everyone, but it works for me.

FH...if you prefer I not post my M5 results just let me know, and go ahead and delete this post.

Just thought I would share :-)

Well at a glance it is 100 pips for the week. Right sizing gives you a potential gain of 10 % for week which is good in anyones terms. Yeah, maybe it is outside the thread standard guidelines but is nonetheless an interesting deviation

Exceptionnal week with a +40% monthly account growth at top thursday evening.
Reduced to 33% on friday's close.

21 winners and 9 losers across the pairs I trade. That's a 70% hit rate (which is very close to the indi's lookback average for individual trades) making this a pretty typical week on that basis.

I didn't manage to trade them all because of sleep, life, etc but I'm not complaining!

Hello, i tried your system on forward test with manual boxes : i am convinced (more than 70% success) and moreover when i lose i know most of the time why. This is only because the box size didn't adapt to the market volatility that day. The results are somewhat similar to you.

Trading GBPUSD on M15. M5 don't get good results for me.

I stop trading (close the trade if any) at the end of the week, at 20H GMT and restart trading on monday at 2H GMT. I am afraid of a big gap during the week-end that ruins one month of work...

I use only 2 trades per CZs. When i lose both, i stop. R:R is 1.

The indicator is behaving correctly. If you change the parameters, you will change the opening and closing of trades. This in turn will alter the timing of when boxes are formed.

skrzat underlying idea came to me too: is it better to wait for the current trade set to close before looking for a new zone ?

Personal results showed that it is better to wait for the end of the current tradeset before looking for another CZs. This is what the indy does.

There is one case where the indy may fail to show the good result, but in fact it is not possible to do better : this is when, during the same 15MN candle, the price goes over AND under the CZs (once or more). if you use multiple trades in a tradeset you could have two or more losers. The indy can't know how many up / down swing the signal could have been done during this candle.

hi,

This is my first post. I have been lurking and reading all 3000+ post of this thread and I find it very interesting and also fell that I am not alone out there!
I have also had charts full of indicators. And the result, -15% on my micro account.
So, I stopped trading and went back to the testing and reading and that's when I found this thread.
I did the manual boxes on M15 , M5 and even M1. M1 is very difficult!
So today being the first day of the week, I am now testing this method.
I have to admit that I like scalping and I have to learn to have more patience.
This method is good because it stops me from guessing the direction and also trying to figure out what the future will be based on the lagging indicators.
I now just pull the trigger when price breaks and quickly exit when it goes the other way.
I have the test also om M15 and M5 but there is no CZ formed yet.
All I can say is that its much less stressful when you do not try to guess what the market is going to do. When there is so much activity, I just chill. When it quiets down...I stare!!!
So, I have to say, thanks for this method FH, Xuu and also Sq and I will be posting charts once if I am no longer a junior member later.

USDJPY has one of those nice long ones forming, within 24 pips not 90 yet but over 45 I have been looking for lately.

Already out @ TP1, with 2 positions still open and hoping for a longer run...

EDIT: But even if price retraces, the remaining positions will stop out with at least 2p profit each. Once TP1 is hit, ALL positions are guaranteed to close in some level of profit.

Hi everybody, hi FX,
this morning i saw a CZ in G/U chart so i put there my hand-box. This is not confermed from indicator-chart box (1st pic)).
But I just follow what my eyes saw and got 40 pips, RR 1:1, nice trade!!!! (2nd and 3th pics).

For those of you wondering why I am posting pics of the EA but not the EA itself, the simple answer is that it's still a little buggy. It'll be posted as soon as both Xux and I feel that it's ready for release.
