So thankful that master Arjun posted this chart, I have been not sleeping well thinking about this trade yesterday.

Excuse me master, because I want to learn.
Why the entries on my chart would not be good for a long?

How does one know, EUR was to turn down and no more longs.

Where and how does one know?

Please teach me, I want to learn.

Hi ya Thestriver and Piprac..

I'm not sure if we're seeing the correct PB..but this looks pretty good on the hourly TF as he says..On his chart he is showing putting the 4 15min bars together to form a 1Hr PB..
I understand what your saying about a PB with a smaller real body may have been a bit better but going on the context of where it is in the grand scheme of things with the rejection off a nicely trending down 10ema and below the 200ema makes it a very reasonable PB for the situation..

Cheers,
Adrian

Yep, I was referring the 1 hr pin formation and would have liked a lesser body pb. For the context it seems fair enough though and it is more a pb than any other formation, however, the idea was if that was the best pb or not. Nothing is perfect and precise of course.
I myself have learnt so much from this thread only started trading on demo in forex 2 months back, past life was into FnO. Have been putting in 16-18 hrs since then every day and it has caught on like wild fire.
I will always be indebted to great souls like Arjun, Gibril, Emmanuel, Xman and the senior pro's on here.
Nice work. Keep it up...

I am really restless with this question, so asking here.

How does one know when CT trades should be looked for and when Trade with trend(short below 200 and long above) should be looked for ?

Just now on M15, a short was possible when price retraced to M15, but then it just shot up, how does one filter this out and not take such risky trades. ?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Correct chart :

Hi Sashadeol,

Xhale put it correctly, you can also draw a trend line on the 4 Hr. TF,

From the HH to the LH, you will see what you looking for.

Can you elaborate on why you thought of going short here? Nothing from that chart is an indication to go short. Perhaps if you explain what your reasoning is, you will get better help.

Another great setup on e/j. On h1 we had a lovely confirmed pinbar,
after it broke the 200ema and retraced back,
entry on m15, tp at next RN.
I wasn't awake to take it. just had the euro trade today.

This thread is exploding daily, Its very hard to keep track and catch up while maintaining a day job.

There are so many intelligent posts inside this thread.

I know Master you have too much on your plate, if it is not too much, can you please continue to update the post one, with bookmark links to interesting posts. That would be of great help to newbies and also for reference.

Forexnerd has helped a lot by assembling all good posts in one place, but mostly images, as such there is no text that I can search inside and find a post. For example, I wanted to learn trading around round numbers, or trading the first touch of an EMA, or learning 123 patterns etc. It would be a great help if there was an index or bookmark with links to such important posts, that would be awesome help. I dont have any posts on first page, else I would have helped initiate this process.

Thanks so much for everything and God bless.

Thanks Brother, so basically, a higher time frame trend line would have limited the upside?

Final trade for me. Two things prompted this.

1. Pin bar on EU as these pairs follow eachother very closely.

2. Inability of price to close above 38.2% retracement. Clear indication of weakness. Entry on the hammer off the 10ema.

Hi ya Sashadeol..

This is something I put together with links of what I thought were important how ever it is in no order as I'm jumping back and forth in the thread trying to catch up so it is a bit of a mess with going back and forth with old and new links to posts....
Together with a post I made earlier of all the PDF's put together by ForexNerds should be able to bring you up to speed and teach you what you really need to know with trading this method and trading in general..

http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...34#post6135034

Hopefully that should be enough to keep you on the right track

Cheers,
Adrian

Sasha,
I can see a clear short term uptrend. In a up move like this what I would do is wait to see a rebound of a strong ema/SR. In this case, there is no rebound only a pullback/retracement and eventual resumption of uptrend. Therefore, I will not short on that candle. My 2 cents. HTH.
