I respectively disagree with your example of a pin bar. Pin bars have small bodies and a long "tail" that is 2-2.5X longer than the body. A trade is taken in the opposite direction of the tail. Better examples are shown above the 03:00 & 04:00 where you have a green PB with a long shadow & 2 candles later a red body with a long wick. Again, I'm not trying to be disagreeable but noobs need to know what good PBs are. p.

Hi Deotoknow,

Would you be so kind and share your minichart indicator with us (the one you have at the bottom of your chart). The one I use has options to show only one moving average... I see yours are showing at least 2. I would really appreciate. Thanks!

What a pleasant surprise waited for me this morning, a vouch from the grand master, Arjun! I don't deserve it, since I haven't done enough yet, but I am enormously grateful. Thank you so much! You've made my day!

Yeah, the body should have been 1/2 of what it is.
It is enriching to see so much involvement in this thread.

I don't think he understands that the pin formed on the 1 hour chart, not the 15 min chart.

Piprac, Go look at the trade I posted a couple hours ago. I have it circled.

Hi ya Thestriver and Piprac..

I'm not sure if we're seeing the correct PB..but this looks pretty good on the hourly TF as he says..On his chart he is showing putting the 4 15min bars together to form a 1Hr PB..
I understand what your saying about a PB with a smaller real body may have been a bit better but going on the context of where it is in the grand scheme of things with the rejection off a nicely trending down 10ema and below the 200ema makes it a very reasonable PB for the situation..

Cheers,
Adrian

Hi Emmanuel,

Took the same trade this morning - 1hr pin bar, trade taken on break of rising support on 5min, 15min MAs confirming.

- 1hr pin bar
- Rising support on 5min
- Took break of 1.2928
- Added on break of 1.2915
- Often use piv levels for TP (also mid piv levels on some pairs)
- (Currently looks like some of the position will be taken out at b/e)

My trade today on e/u made 60 pips.
We had a lovely pinbar hanging on the daily 10ema. I was expecting price
to come down to D 200ema for a triple bottom.
Waited for some retracement, entered in pullback just above RN. I had two more limit orders at 38.2, and 50% fib. but they didn't get picked up.
Went to bed , woke up to tp.
