As I have stated before, I trade the EU during the London session.....but right now I am studying another tool to use in my trading. I am doing some experimenting with Market Harmonics and decided to enter a trade at the open of the week based on a retracement just past the 38 fib. This is still a price action trade with the TDI red and yellow lines turning down and the green bouncing off the red line. There was also some divergence during the London session that played out. This is not something I would suggest anyone do without some study....I am just trying to learn more about price action.
On Friday, the high of the day was set in the first hour of NY....following that, price dropped 53 pips, then retraced just past the 38 fib. At market opening today, price opened with a red candle so I entered a trade with a 40 pip SL and a 53 pip TP (to match the 1st impulse leg). TP was hit and even continued for another 18 pips.

anyone bought Euro this london session?

i wanted to buy after it broke resistance at 1.2992 but i was hesitated because i saw lots of blue synergy bars already and the TDI wasnt crossed (just kept going up and up). If anyone bought this based on x-man system let me know what i didnt see. Thanks!

What you missed was a pull back entry, it was more obvious on the 15 min.
I have attached both time frames so you can see it. Entry on the pullback 1.2990, target was 1.3050 based on the 89% fibo and ADR of 1.3055. I use a mixture of Fibos and looking left to determine my TP zone. I use the 15min for better entries, and I do not always wait for the 60 min signal, as you can see.

Currently at B/E +6 on a CT trade that is up 25pips but am monitoring because price has just bounced off the 78% fibo and the W R1 with the D R2 just above, if I am lucky price will hold below the D R2, but W R1 acted as resistance earlier so may be support now.


EDIT.
JUst an update on my CT trade. I closed it out for 26 pips, it is 17.10 here and I stop trading, so according to my rules I have exited.
That is +60 and +26, enough for today.

EDIT 2.
Forgot to mention. Reason for CT trade. Double Top with strong Divergence from OverBought condition, just how I like it. I was allready in the trade before the signal on the 15 min chart, let alone the 1 hr.

It's said that audusd and usdcad usually trend oppositely, but I found they were in the same direction yesterday (Oct 16). Anybody know why?

thanks dee for the explanation. i actually wanted to open a position at exactly the same spot but was hesitated because asian session was not sideways (but already bullish) hence why i did not open because i thought it needed some consolidation before going up again. I should just took that trade. Also thanks for pointing me out in the M15 session. I usually only looked at H1 and H4 as its too confusing to me if i look at M15 chart (and sometimes PA dont work well in shorter timeframe). I think i still have much to learn

I do not trade the 15 min TF often, I use it to fine tune my entries eg. first trade I only needed a 10 pip stop, like you I was cautious so I just reduced my risk by using the lower TF entry.
With the markets as they are, the lower TF can provide more info, it is like reading the small print. 1 hour =4 x 15min candles or 1 hour = 12 x 5min candles.

I scalp the 5min TF when things are a bit slow and believe me PA works the same what ever TF, you just need to be aware that you are looking at less pips.

thank you very much. im still here. i just didnt open any trade at all in the past 3 days because i never seen a clear entry anymore so I also didnt know what to ask..

yesterday night actually there was a good entry but it was late at my time (1 AM). also the rule is to trade 3-4 first candles of NY session, therefore i didnt open the sell position

but many thanks for the explanation and for the pdf. going to read them now

This man Rick Galloway is an amazing teacher, formerly very active here on FF, his trading style makes it look very easy. He uses the TDI on 1hr and 15min charts. He is worth giving some time to if you "really" want to learn, work your way thru his blog you will come out of it much better off (no pun intended) and you will learn more there than you will here. Fact!!!!
