Oh, I am well aware it is a bit of a challenge. I am mentally tagging about 12 months demo on the EA to get best R:R before I would even think of being live with it. The benefit of forward testing 24/5 is that data is complete and I can plot the equity curve of each pair to monitor ongoing performance. I will likely try optimising with and without Martingale on two platforms and maybe multiple brokers. Currently I am getting entries on Pepperstone that I don't get on FXPro, albeit with a different system. SSBO looks like a real winner to me - it's our Keynesian system that is the worry.

Hi FH,

im wondering if someone can or already has coded this indi for jfx platform (dukascopy) ...it will be a big help for those who dont use mt4 .

OK, but I have a feeling you're not going to like my answer. Which is that SSBO is a naked trading system at heart, and the indi is only an added extra.

currently in a nice profit +35 on AU and +25 on nu and locking in some pips on both, lost first trade on nu but the second hit QP

this maybe a little off topic but has anyone figured out how to scale into the breakouts? I have been fiddling around on demo with different approaches but so far nothing concrete.

What I have been doing though is just opening up two positions on the BO so one will target QP and the other will just run, so that if it does decide to continue I am still on the BO

I trade with only adx and daily pivots as indi on charts, nothing else. I readed all thread and i know you started initially without any indy, but now that you developed one, and look good on mt4, i asked if someone has it for jfx too...

I dont know how to programm in java and none of my friend cant do it. will welcome any coments about this, i can pay for that if needed.

It turns out price did just reach the lower edge of the Oct 5 CZ, which is the point price took that 2000p nosedive from. Now we get to watch as the big dogs decide for us if this is going to be the ceiling, or if it becomes the floor. But man, what a beautiful revenge arc!

Yep.

I have thought about that also, building the exact same indie from scratch into java would be a huge project and the SSBO indie docent compile to a workable java version with the converter.

A simple box forming indicator with buffer and sell / buy signal would be easy enough or even a strategy (read EA).

One option is to wait for the MT4 SSBO EA and use the MT4 bridge for jfx with a demo feed MT4.

My main concern would be keeping anything developed to jforex "clean" as the system is not a indie or a box, there is a bit of a philosophy to it also "Wei wu wei" and the-->

I am more for a privately funded indicator for the jforex platform, something maybe available on this thread only if forexhard approves of it, as one really cant imagine the lessons in this thread being duplicated, a few have tried and failed.

Trading SSBO in the nude works good on jforex platform but a indie would help if one wants to keep the 10 to 16 pairs open and trade every signal on the 15 min not to mention 5 min.

Hi Dryclean,

I could be missing something here but I don't think your setup will be profitable due to spreads not taken into consideration. If you take into the number of trades x spreads, your profit will actually be negative. I'm also looking at 5 mins EUR/USD, GBP/USD and AUD/USD boxes and my settings are closer to 10 pips range, 100 candlestick length.

My T/P is 10 pips and I do 20 pip S/L override. Win/Rate is similar to 75ish% to 80ish% (I only do 1 trade per CZ) and is decently profitable without martingale after taking consideration of spreads.

Will share more charts after experimenting more, been forward testing 2 for 2 weeks so far.

The NZDUSD just broke up ,I bought @ 82.28 ,not a pair I would normally trade but I like the look of this break

I place trades with multi lots of 3 ie. 3.0 or .3 or .03. I use an ea that will close trades by 1/3.

So if the 1st fib is 9 I set 1st TP to 8 pips (my boxbuffer is 1). If that hits then I move my SL to BE+2 Then trade 2 TP is set to the next fib, 20 pips.

If the trade hits the 2nd fib I set the last part of the trade to 9999 pips move the SL to the nearest grey line I have on the chart.

EU move in waves of 20 and that is what the grey lines are for.
I let that trade just run

I have been running an 81% win rate for the last month and 72% over all since starting the SSBO. Even at the 5min chart I only trade a few times a week. I look for good probable winner

Attached is the ea. I have the ex file only but it was made by RobDee and I trust the work. The source code is out there somewhere. I don't have it

Hi FXHard and traders...

I have been watching EU since August 14 (post 3081), 5-min. time frame, same parameters straight through. So far net pips for last 100 days bottomed out at 520 and topped out at 680 since I began monitoring, so is holding its own. No martingaling.

Am looking forward to EA as this needs to be traded around the clock for these results. Spread will cut into these results a little, but not much I don't think.

Hi everyone!

Thought I would share this setup with those of you who do not have time to watch the chart very often. I myself am full time employed and can only trade at night. I've setup this on the daily charts, which means I only have to be at the charts about 10 minutes before the next daily candle starts to see if a trade has setup. I've paper-traded this back 12 months and the results are really impressive. Also no martingale - only 1 trade per box. As we all know market conditions can change any time, but your stats will soon tell you when it's time to adjust your box size, range, sl, tp, etc...

It's a bit off the topic as far as consolidation goes so I'm not going to continue posting these charts, but for those interested you can now play with more settings and currencies.
