DislikedLong term bearish because of AUD but bullish because of JPY.. might be a good short term trade for a few hundred but long term I dont like it.
I would prefer USDJPY I see a long term USD bull coming.Ignored
DislikedInteresting... I'm long AUD/JPY right now but I have actually been wondering about this. What is really interesting is that "normally" USD/JPY goes down as other majors go down as it is the classic "Risk Off" sentiment. Right?
However, with the fundamental problems that Japan is facing I don't think that it will hold its "safe haven" status if/when markets drop.
I personally don't like trading USD/JPY as it doesn't have much action. I remember reading in "Strats Stress Free" thread a quote in reference to USD/JPY: [i]This thing...Ignored

DislikedHi Sidhujug (and anyone else reading), Yes, from what I've seen in terms of AUD and USD, the JPY is showing a clear trend. It's very strong at the moment. What's your (or anyone's) view on the AUD?Ignored
DislikedSorry Sidhujag, one more question for you.
You mentioned that you see a long term USD bull coming. What would be the best sign or indicator showing when this trend starts? I also think we are at multi-year lows with USD and see a reversal towards the upside coming soon for various reasons, but it is definitely hard to say when this bull run will occur.
Also, I am not a "position trader" so fundamental / long term views (like my JPY forecast) don't really hold much water in regards to how I trade. I'm more of a Swing trader.Ignored
DislikedTheres a good gold opportunity at around 1644/1625 to target around 1750 and up... hold and add around 1675-1700 after 1750+ has been reached... hold until 23xx... if any of the numbers break then plan changed.Ignored
