I noticed an oddity with the indi, just need some clarifications, i've been trying out some different settings for the eurusd on a 15m chart, i left the pips and bar range alone after i've gotten some optimal results and started changing only the QTP setting .. i started with 25pips then 40pips .. and the CZ boxes started changing positions .. why would CZ boxes change positions since i left the pips and bar range untouched ? shoudn't the boxes stay in the same positions ?

If you hit TP faster with QTP 25, a CZ might form faster since it won't go through Trades 2,3,4 if your QTP 40 doesn't get hit.
Its been mentioned before in terms of trading the system but would it be possible to add a feature to either the indi or EA that you can set a maximum pip count between the buffer and signal?

I only ask because it may filter out some unwanted trades from the stats. Like for instance:

Obviously a big piece of news has hit the market and price has flown away. Common sense prevailed as obviously I'd never take on a trade with a stop loss of 70+ pips so I let it go.

Its a rare occurrence but if your like me and prefer a few closes on certain pairs for a signal....it may prove useful?

A CZ is valid until the trade set completes either by hitting your QTP or by hitting the new target based on the size of the stop loss if QTP is not hit.

If you have a QTP of 100, and the CZ that forms happens to have a range of 22 pips and it enteres the trade set, it will attempt to hit 50 pips for your QTP. During that time other CZs might have formed but will not be visible to you because the system is still waiting to hit that QTP of 100 pips.

If the QTP is only 25 pips and it hits it, you might see a new CZ form for a new trade set because the previous trade set is complete.

To see all CZs regardless of QTP set the MaxTrades to 0. This disables the trade simulation just letting you see all the potential CZs. While this also disables statistics it is very useful.

A picture is worth a thousand words, consider the attached example. (also note that the movements are fictitious just to illustrate what I mean)

Had I set the QTP to, say 60 for example... I know it's exaggerated but this is strictly for illustration purposes. The first box, which currently hits QTP at 15, the first trade of the set, has hit S/L at around 40 pips (pentagon on my illustration). Trade 2 (in pentagon as well) would have opened with a T/P set at 40 pips (equal to the previous S/L). Having the Trade Set still opened based on the total amounts of trade we are willing to take per CZ, the second CZ would not have formed, since we are still considering the first one to be valid.

Then Trade 2 would have hit S/L yet again and re-opened for the third trade of the set (circle in my illustration), meaning that CZ box # 3 would also not have been formed by the indie.

On the other hand, having the QTP at 15; box CZ 1 hit QTP on Trade 1, closing the validity of the CZ. The indie would have started to look for the next CZ in-line with the settings, so on and so forth.

AWOL, At this stage the only way to balance this type of PA is to add pips to the Buffer and then set the MinBar to "0" for an immediate entry on BL cross. But I would caution against adjusting your major settings just to catch a 1-in-100 type of scenario, and focus instead on the other 99.

I've been testing the sequence of this martingale and anti-martingale

Martingale only to payback the first stop without expecting any profit, for instance -25 pips the sequence will be
-25, -25, -50, -100, -200, -400, -800 pips......
Anti-martingale
-25, -50, -100, -200, -400, -800 pips

I think I missing something or I'm doing something wrong-

. Is there any back test to see the maximum times the stop was hit?

can somebody talk about this, please.

I like very much This system but this martingale is very scary.

Relaxtrading, I would prefer that only long time thread participants start off-topic discussions. That would be guys who have posted trade pics and have proven that they are at least trying to follow the basic SSBO format. So far you do not qualify. Martingaling is only a very minor part of what we do around here (and easily misunderstood and abused), and I would appreciate it if you could ignore it in favor of posting trade pics and examples like the rest of us.

Ladies and Gents, when people talk about having a trading edge, this pic should be what they are referring to. The 1st Trade and the Individual Trade stats both show over 70%. Anything over 50% is proven profitable, so >70% is just plain fantastic. These are the type of targets that I hope everyone here is aiming for -- and keep in mind that these stats have nothing to do with Martingaling. This is pure 1:1 target trading.

Note: These are the same parameters and indi settings I have been using for the last several months, not cherry-picked to come back with these impressive numbers.

No worries. It is an unusual scenario, like you said one that is rare....but I was just thinking it more of a safety feature in case for example the EA went in on a trade like this in which the move had already happened so to speak.

Not a major thing by any means...common sense prevails on this one. Just looking at your chart FXH, you say that is without Martingaling and judging by your CZ's per week average which is low, it looks like you've got some solid settings there!

On the subject of martingale ,for the EA,could it be applied to the 1st breakouts only of each new CZ ?
As you would then be martingaleing a 71% probability

The first two trades hit SL but I stuck with the system, didnt let my emotions interfere and end up netting +35pips and in profit (used a semi martingale)

Hey I am also trading this pair but on the 5min time frame so far banked 20pips on the first trade and second trade is in progress. However I only trade the original zone though so that's what the yellow lines are
