Apple wage disparity is a bit shocking. They have hundreds of thousands of chinese workers on about $3 an hour (79,000 in the iphone 5 , working more than 60 hours a week).

Then shop workers here get $10.00 an hour for standing around for 40 hours a week.

If I were running a company like that, I'd be worried about my reputation, never mind rioting in the factory "dormitories". It sounds a bit like slavery, to me.

My figures might be a bit wrong but even so...

had a short usd/cad from 0.9822 last night closed for 30

long e/u from 1.2865 the other day closed + also

long a/j form the 8th at 80 on the button

everything else this week has been short equities mini Dow futures (closed half #2146 ) and shorting All Ordinaries (closed all #2151) .

Dow and AUS were lagging all other indexes selling so seemed like easy choice (since i missed the recommended by ingmar nasdaq100 sell/sell/sell friday PM)

missed some nice long trades on natural gas also

nervous short however...wary over central bank death marches

i agree, but the politicians, banks, consumers and shareholders don't seem to care...about social/environmental responsibility or fair wages

some interesting reading on the manufacturers too....weak link in the chain?

This is my chart for today. Ingmar fancied a shot at long Usd/Cad so here is my simplified form of analysis:

The gold box is the zone which has now retraced a full 61.8%

The arrow shows a fairly good quality pin bar off an important level, the low of April 2012 which corresponds to the lows of 2008.

The trend line needs some shims but you get the idea.

How to trade this? Low leverage because this is a tricky pair. You're on your own...
