yeah eur, got thrashed. Could be the start of eur weakness again. I'm definately keeping a close eye on it.

yes, eur is getting thrashed. in my view, my fundie view is the risk off due to the escalating situation between TURKEY and SYRIA. NATO already stepped into the action by backing turkey.
this creates a risk off mode: good for safe haven currencies like USD, CHF.
just like before with the XAGs.....i waited for 1,2,3 formation/bpc mode....i did the same with USD/TRY long -- short turkish lira(TRY) with USD(a safe haven currency)
i am already in.

Thanks for the props, but honestly, if you read the books from Skynnet, you'll be seeing the global picture in no time flat. You guys can search (or better yet, start reading the posts from the begining of the year.) and I threw a few sites up there that'll give you te basics.

Is it just me, or does it look like the market is going RISK OFF ? Comms, rising, safe havens, falling.
Like Cow mooed, aud, getting strong, nzd, not bad, and cad, doin it's thing.
I think thre is still ALOT of uncertainty out there.
US numbers are looking up, housing rising, employment numbers up, which, as you all should know by now, portends increased US consumer demand=morE sales, AND comm dolls rise.
But let's not get our hopes up too fast. US elections are ongoing and the "fiscal cliff" as they call it over here is fast approaching.

The probability of Eur just dissapearing is very high. Fundamentally me think aud and pretty much any currency even Mongolian tugrik would be preferable as they are not going to vanish in thin air.

These are words from another chat by very good trader. He is lurking on FF somewhere I just do not remember his nick name and I completely agree with his words despite being cerebral on many occasions but in all cases still leaning on basic rules and experience.

You see eur isn't rising bcause it's so great over there in that economy, but it is strengthening because everything else is so shit. Remember what we've been talking about with China ?

So yes, the fundamentals DO SHOW eur strentgh, especially after Draghi said he'll do whatever it takes to keep the Euro together. So Euro falling apart is no longer a realistic policy. Problem averted;
In fact, if Spain would just accept the bloody bailout we could focus our attention on other things,l ike China weakness, and looming US "Fiscal Cliff".
Fundies always rule bro, because remember this......WE ARE TRADING LIFE, REALITY, what is happening in the real World. But more importantly, what the big dogs "feel" the repercussions of life events will do to their investments.
I don't care, WHAT someone sees on a chart.....what you see is based on a REAL WORLD REALITY, something that happened "out here" IN THE REAL WORLD.
Now, if you knew your fundies better, you would have known that once Draghi made that promise, market sentiment would be positive, and the fact that China is tanking (due to lack of US and European consumer demand)would send comms lower.

I am not good at fundamentals but words are cheap and whatever Draghi was speaking doe snot mean he has got means to back his talk.
