NFP was good for USD whether people think its states the true situation or not. I wanted to draw EW for AUDUSD but I guess there are many ways to interpret it. And I guess we may be on a corrective wave 4 here. We may continue upwards if I'm wrong though.

I always enjoy EW primary and alternate counts. I am not EW technician, it intrigues me because it has sound basis if the right hands (not me).

I didn't label anything on it. But I see 1.0469 from September down to 1.0185 a few days ago as a long wave, which I presume is impulsive wave 3 followed with this correction up now as wave 4. Wave 4 is corrective, that consists of 3 small a b c waves of which a should have been completed now. By wave c, we could be around 1.03 before going down again.
A 1 pip gain is better than a 1 pip loss.

Good, consists with my short zone...i will be watching anything past 1.03 for sharp rejection.

If daily pivot doesnt hold 1.02 could be seen by close.

European close volatility.

It seems that up move was a 'b' wave. We are now doing 'c' which should technically go lower than 1.0185.

Usually don't trade on Fridays.
Read DT's price smash alert, went to the calendar, saw the NFP results, looked around the pairs I trade, was going to place a few shorts ... and said "nahhh - will short on Monday if any" and went back to sleep.

Half an hour later it seems I did miss 5 of my 6 buses (seeing this 5 hours after the fact).

Sigh.

But I do not trade on Fridays.

I closed a long an still carrying a small one

down but not out

I will carry it over the weekend

i was expecting a retrace at some point
