I trade what I see and give no thought to targets etc...as long as I'm not over exposing myself at any one time, I'll trade on what ever pair at any time. Sometime this means missing trades...other times one trade will hit QTP or TP and I'll jump into another pair if PA is around the entry point.

Hey guys,

I've got a GU trade on the horizon as I'm sure many of you have. It looks good.....25X57...but, and maybe this is unwarranted caution....I'm always wary about trading past friday afternoon because of liquidity issues and then the close of markets over the weekend......

Its around 15:40pm GMT, I've just hit TP on EU for +25 on trade 2 and am still in my AU trade from the early hours. I don't feel the need to overtrade....merely just a logic check on whether its a good idea to leave it late to trade on fridays.

Stress free trading for the win!!!

Me and my big mouth......huge bear candle lol! That's ok...makes my decision a lot easier!

Incidentally, I've found a nice balance using 2 and 3 closes for different markets....seems to spread the trades out more allowing for safe exposure and sensible number of open trades! Yippy!

Didnt took GU long cause of the news, but it is still valid to enter!

I did take the short on eu this morning and hit sl! When it broke out at the top of the box and the bar closed above the buffer line i entered a long one and made a very good profit!

I flipped through some charts and played with setting - and this is what I found...

USDCAD M15 - settings as per pic - daysback = 100

Me personally, I wouldn't use these settings as whilst over trading is a crime.....there is a case for perhaps under trading. By that I mean waiting around for the perfect CZ whilst perfectly acceptable CZ's pass you by.

Take my settings for USDCAD for example....the average CZ's is right in the range we like 2 - 3.....the win ratio is higher at 62% and the pips are greater.

Common sense prevails today as the market on that pair shot away and so my 3 closes on this occasion, prevented catching that move. No bother tho.....I'm in a great position on that pair now to enter in if the market comes down there next week or if it reverses around can pick up a "free trade" on normal stakes going the other way.

When I'm configuring any pair....I look to have the smallest range I can to reduce stop loss size and decrease exposure.....that is the basis for every one of my markets.

For everyone having trouble finding the right settings for a pair here's a way of approaching it that might make it easier. First draw out the zones by hand, then place the indicator on and tweak the settings around so that most of your zones that you have drawn by hand are being highlighted by the indy, once you find two sets of settings which highlight a decent amount of your zones forward test it and see how it works. This is how i have been approaching it anyone else?

SSBO is a naked trading system first and foremost. The "tools" are just an added extra, and are NOT the focus of this thread. We're only talking about them more than average lately, because they are new and are going through the debugging stages, so everyone has been asked to speak up if they spot anything wrong.

I already found some EA, but any EA around has not good backtesting.

Hello ForexHard and All [squaloo, et.c]

I've been a novice 4HR swing-trader for about 7 years and counting with sad losses [yes I'm that stubborn], after reading through you tread till about page 42 last night, doing a little back-testing here and there, you've finally convinced me to try something else, Heck I dare say this is the HOLY GRAIL...

I start next week - no indicators straight boxes.

Now back to Page 1. Later Guys.

This is indeed one of the best systems, but it's not the holy grail!
Why? Can Anyone trade this system, ore another good system?
Yes they can!
Can they make steady profits over the long run?
Most people can't.....
Why? Most people are greedy ore have à desire to overtrade!
Ore when you, ore someone else have 4 losing trades of à new system in à run, what will most people do?
They are gonna read the next thread!
All systems Seem logical, and when you read them it all seems logical!

But the art of trading is..... Can Your mind handle the system? Your eyes can, but when you want to trade this without martingale and you lose 4 times, so that means you lost some of Your account for the last 2 weeks!
What Will most people do?
They are flipping and try to get all back in 1 ore 2 trades and lose it all.... They lost control!!!

This happend to me lots of times, and i think most people recognise this!

We first have to play with à system for à long time and in that time, we will win and lose our accounts à few times! But if you stick with the system for à few accounts, then some of us also will change their mindset!
When you have Your mind right, this really is the holy grail;-)
