However I must ask, do you really find the crosess tradable ?

ist it just a reaction to the main pairs ?

OK , maybe I should ask a more clear question.... about the cross trading:

If Im not wrong then the most traded currency is the USD , then EUR Then GBP+ JPY after that AUD,CHF,CAD,NZD.... ect....

MEANING- pairs like EURUSD,GPBUSD and USDJPY are traded in a high volume. Aslo EURJPY,GBPJPY and AUDUSD are ok ,
BUT
Pairs like AUDCAD, NZDCHF and others are just a ''reaction'' or ''price ajustment'' of the real trading of AUDUSD / USDCAD or NZDUSD /USDCHF .

What I mean is that allmost no one buys or sells NZD using CHF... but ppl do trade the EUR/CHF , USDCHF and NZDUSD hence the price of the NZD against the CHF must chang....

With that in mind, can we really look at tradelines and levels at the NZDCHF chart ???

I really would like to get a serious answer for this as I think about is alot..

I trade the crosses if there is a solid setup. It's my understanding that Tom advises against the crosses.

I would say, overall, the majors will be more reliable. I don't have a record stating how much more reliable, however.

Maybe Rust will comment on your latter post. I try not to put too much thought into what and why...just looking for solid levels that show a historic probability of a reaction and trade them with as much conviction as possible. If there is a similar setup on two different pairs, I'll trade the most popular pair (eg USD/CAD vs NZD/CAD).

Hey pipon,
i am fairly new to this thread and my trading style maybe is not what is regularly seen here. I am crazy picky and i take only the best scenarios.
Nevertheless it's a good exercise to check how the "crazy crosses" work by yourself. Do they react to round numbers (even they "should" be driven by the majors), do they react to other tools and how. Then it's up to you to decide if the results suit you to trade em or not
The final question is : what is worth more?
- To trade less optimal setups on the majors
- To trade the best setups including exotics

Of course you may choose to trade the best setups on the majors, as well
But this is very hard, cause you will probably have 2 setups a month Which is actually ok, if you can handle it !

Just noticed your post. I'm in this trade already but not for the SFP but for the test of some daily supply.. without me knowing now this trade is looking better now it is also an hourly SFP.. fingers crossed

Thanks for the anwers guys, I asked coz I want to understad the "mechanical" side of the price movements.
I judt notinced that I have much LESS confidence trading the crosses using this method... and you all now what happens when you enter a trade your nor sure about.... lol

Cable isn't a trade I'll take but its just an experiment to see if a setup is there based off the D1 pinbars (if I've spotted them correctly) bias - however this is in contrast to the EURUSD long bias. If I take cable it will be short from the blue rectangle with a stop in the red zone. The blue rectangle is the 50-61.8 fibs any feedback would be great.

Othewise we've got AUDJPY, Gold, EURUSD, and USDCHF.

One more profitable trade for me today Taking one trade a day is extremely active for my style Still a newbie to the thread but first 3 days - 3 wins Let's see how first 3 months will look like.
Today it was the USDMXN on the H4. Butt kiss, but with confluence! Not posting a chart, not to puddle the thread with those exotics you stay away from

Post away, exotics, equities, soft commodities, metals etc. .... a setup is still a setup and the more markets I see this stuff work in the better I think - while at least it gives me more confidence.
