I think Tradestar1 uses the SMA and WMA on the close.

Hello everyone, here is a round up of what's taken place on the Quick and Dirty EOD method this week.

I had a long term trade open on euraud which closed out during the week for 230 pips profit. Also the pending order I had there has been removed.

Eurnzd opened halfway through the week after making a low followed by a pullback candle. It is currently the only open trade and is 67 pips in profit.

Eurusd has set up for a sell trade. It almost triggered on Friday but couldn't quite reach it.

Euraud is now set up for a sell too.

Audusd is going sideways around the 10 ema and needs to make a move.

Nzdusd is setting up long, a move followed by almost a doji.

I am putting the day by day system trading on my private site and I have opened a trade journal to track the progress of the system. I am starting with a notional £10000 account and will update the thread here with the profit and loss. Also I have changed the site permissions so now free members are allowed to contribute to the site and also download attachments. This includes the Donchian Channel Expert Advisor and the settings I am using.

Well here we are, in the main commercial section. I'd like to thank everyone who rated my thread, I really appreciate your help and I'm really glad that so many people can see the merit in what I am doing. I am working hard to build the content on my site and I believe that in time it will be a very valuable resource for new and experienced traders.

The feedback I am receiving still tells me that my members value most the live trading aspect of the site. Although all of my systems are well explained in extensive threads which are available for free on Forex Factory it is often the case that some extra help is required, especially with the psychological side of trading.

Seeing the ratings of the other members threads here I'm not surprised about this but how is it that I enter the main section with 8 votes at 5 stars and then after a few hours of being in the main section two people have voted my thread less than 5 stars? These people voting probably haven't even tried my service.

Here it is, don't rate my thread until you have tried the service and know what you are rating and if you rate it less than 5 stars then have the courage to post here and tell me why and give me feedback about the site to prove you have used it.

Sorry to be so defensive but it's annoying that someone would deliberately slight your service without even using it.

they are probably not slighting your service (which I rated a 5) as much as trying to force your thread down below their favourite one.

Threads are listed by Star-rating and just like in Google it is the ones at the top of the page that gets seen most. Everybody wants the top spot and one way is to force you below them by rating you lower. If a particular thread has a lot of people who can actually vote then it is a simple process to move you lower.

Not sure why Twee made it that way but once people figured out how to game the system it was done for. Not sure if you can see who voted for you but if not then perhaps that is something that can be asked for. it will get rid of the gamesmanship.

It's obvious that people who are following the other threads here are going to vote the other threads down but I have now dropped right down the page. I would ask all members with at least 4 vouches to please vote for this thread honestly. If you want to vote it low that's fine but there are only 13 votes on this thread so far. Let's get the number of votes up and we will see what a true picture of the merit of this thread is rather than letting the losers get away with pushing other threads down.

You came in here with 5 votes of 5 stars (25 points). You now have an average of 3.46 with 13 votes (45 points). That means the last 8 votes gave you 20 points or 2.5 stars per vote. So lets say 4 of them were 2s and 4 of them were 3s.

You can only win the Star Game if you have enough followers with voting capability.

It is almost better to stay in Under Eval because at least there it is about Last Time and not Star Power. The Star Game only allows those with the most stars to get bigger as they are first seen.

Why not have all the Commercial members request FF to change the ordering back to Last Time Posted. It gives everybody a fair shot at being on the top and those with the most Stars still will have the most stars and people can judge accordingly.

I had 8 votes all of 5 stars before I moved to the main section and I see your point about being better off in the under evaluation section.

I don't think all of the commercial members would agree with switching to that system. I could ask I suppose.

It's not a problem, as soon as I have my finances in place I will be starting a new trade journal for the Q and D method in the under evaluation section and then that will be the end of it because very few other threads are posting their live results here. Once my live results start showing up on the site then there will be no argument about which is the best thread

Coming here with 8 votes of 5 stars each implies that you received 5 votes since being here and ALL of them are 1 Star votes. It is a shame but business is cut-throat as evidenced by this. It is about membership money in this section and not about results or anything else. People will do what they think they have to do to protect the status quo. No different then the current US election.

Keep your other threads in Under Eval, post often, show Live Results and people will find you.
