Hi

Im running an eod system atm,and have been putting in as much time as possible into finding new eod systems esp as my time is very lmt atm

Ihave come across an indicator for MT4 and have sent a message to the original programmer asking a few need to know questions.Ive coupled this indicator with a trend filter that I use on my own eod system.

the rules are simple

Enter long or short at close of day depending on signal
Close the trade end of candle the following day

We hold for 24hours only.

No nede to move stop no tp or sl calculations

I have just manually checked a full year on eurusd..so thats last Dec 1st up to present day

here are my finiding

Signals 40
Losers 11
winners 29
Strike rate 72.5%
longest losing run 3
longest winning run 5
Average pips lost per losing trade 17
Average pips won per winning trde 86
Risk Rewrad ratio 5:1
Total points lost 196
Total point won 2499

Net profit 2,303

Once i have more info on the indicator and im happy that I can then get the filter coded in as well I will post all the details here

If any one wants another pair looked at say for last 3 months I can do it I think with the time I have available..or if you know of a bad 6 or months on a particular swap I can look at that and see what this gives

Are you shure that new indicator does not repaint, i can chek it if i'll see source code. Sometime manual backtests are amazing cos indicaror repaints in realtime.

I thought that may be the case .. best to check before I post any thing here but the fact there are losers doesnt indicate that ..I will send you a mail tonight with what I hope is the coding and the simple CCI filter

Since the beginning on Nov to present day GBPJPY ( only very small data set)

Thanks for the info, could you test the system from oct 08 uptill date on Eur Jpy and Usd Jpy. These currencies experienced congestion during these periods. I sincerely believe that if the system was profitable during these periods on these two pairs then it could be a winner at any other period and currencies. Thanks for your time and contribution By the way I am an ardent follower of your system

All the signals were shorts and no spread has been taken into account the trades are in order

+56 +465 +511 +472 +284 +236 +18

If we go short at midnight on tuesday and weds is a down day we catch the whole open to close move.Lets see what the experts says about the coding

Fingers crossed here will test out other pair.

Dezil that does throw a few more arrows on the page so hopefully that is the unpainted version of this ind ..

I will re check today the figures I have already posted and see what we get now.

Can you tell us some thing of what creates the signals in my Futures trading platform I could tell by the code as I could code in that.

Is wick and candle size calculated in this code ?
It says wick ratio,wick percent..it looks like some sort of candle recognition code

Ok have clicked false for the use new in the ind and on the small test on eurjpy we do get one more arrow appearing it is a short and a loser

Ok here is USDJPY oct to present date as requested and this should be the unpainted version ..it gives 1 more signal and it is a loser and it is a short I have inserted it below

Again not much impact and that is the unpainted version

I will now do the year on EURUSD I cannot check all the signals atm but will do a count we know the painted version gave 40 signals

Ok it gives 44 signals unpainted on EURUSD as opposed to 40 painted..

so thats excellent I think 4 extra signals over 12months even if their all losers still looks great most important thing is to check the arrows are in the same place I will do this with an over lay to save time and will post back but have domestic stuff to do 1st
