closed this trade because of the following.

Confluence of 78 & 89 Fibs and touch on rising trend line which was the top of the rising channel, can be seen on the 4hr. If it carries on lower I will re enter.

Old trend lines should not be forgotten.

A bit late to enter the setup, was on the phone call. Entry 20 minutes after bar opening, so ensuring first that price could broke below daily pivot. Manual close on 14pip by seeing price paused around daily S1, TDI price line pointing up and APB bar getting weaker on M15.

I,m done for the day +34 +30 +30, all on the 15 min. Looks like eur will go higher based on the news from spain, but I finish at 18.00 CET.

Hi,

my first trade the EURAUD hit SL. My main trend (EMA) was up, but the recent price move was down. If I paid more attention to the quicker EMA it showed the down move and so did the turqoise trendlines. So this trade was me a lesson learned.

The NZDUSD trade was much nicer. Not just because of hitting the TP, but the whole setup was clearer. We are in the consolidation phase of an uptrend and some tweezer bottoms also formed and a nice white candle showed a bullish move + there was a bullish TDI cross, too.

X the synergy bars on the first page wont download for me. It's saying there is an error with the file. Anyone know what I need to do?

Nice trade ,Thrax , i also like the 4 h , can you tell me what ema's you are using and how you get that colour change , also the arrows look usefull - what are they ?

I use the EMA(89) for trend determination in the trading TF. I have the EMA(22) and EMA(534) also on the chart, because they are the EMA(89)s of H1 and D respectively as 89/4=22 (approximately:-) and 534/6=89 because 4=4*1 and 24=6*4

The arrows are of the TMS-OSC Cross 1.05 indicator arrows. You can find it and many other relating indicators here on ff in the Trading Made Simple threads too.

I was looking at your beautiful exit and was wondering where did you get the rising trendline on the 4H. i really cant see it from my charts.
could you please add a chart showing the bigger picture?

After testing 2 different methods at once (CHOROS and xman), im quite sure this is the right method for me. not saying CHOROS doesnt work but it's too much hassles and as someone who also work in internet marketing world so I cant keep looking at chart every 5 minutes. That seriously disturb my work lol

so about xman method, I still have several questions...

1. look at GBP/USD today. It has gone down for 80-90 pips. By this case, should I use trailing SL? If yes, where to put it? Usually I trail SL by 20-30 pips so if let's say the market has moved for 40 pips I will put SL at +20. If the market has moved for 90 pips, I put SL at +60/70 and so on. Am I doing the right thing?

*I know TP 1 should be the same with SL but Im asking if it's a good idea to just let go TP and only exit when we have pullback candle/change of color in synergy bars...(but in addition we use trailing SL)

2. do you guys tend to avoid the news 30 minutes after NY open and the usual news time 90 minutes after LO? or you guys simply ignore them and just trade based on technical? (Im talking about the H1 timeframe). What I do usually is put SL just 20 pips above/below the latest price 5-10 minutes before news release. Is it the right risk management or just close it when we are already in good position?

3. Im interested to learn the H4 swing method. Should I use smaller lot size because in H4 the pips tend to be larger? (even though less entries)

A 20-30 pip trail SL on GU is probably a bit small, the 1 bounce today was 35 odd pips. 25-30 pip bounces often happen. You probably need another strategy than a 30 pip trail.

Sorry I have taken so long to reply, but we have had a real storm here in my part of spain. I live in the mountains and half the mountain came down and parked itīs self on my track, and of course, no electricity since 5.00 am it has only just come back on 18.30pm. Any way here is the chart.
Looks like I missed a really good afternoon, 80 ish pips huh!!

Quick question

Is any one using the TDI for swing trading, not necessarily scalping but maybe grab a trade at (for example) at 4am est and out at 5am?

If so what are the setting for TDI?

If not the above has anyone experimented with adjusting the TDI settings for various time frames etc

ok so whats your strategy? Im thinking to just put SL at BEP + 1 at 25 pips and simply let it run until it finish

also how if there's any high impact news during london session (also there are usually news 30 minutes after NO)? do you tend to avoid it or just put SL at 30 pips from current price or you just close your position or you just ignore it?

btw usually i use EU as instructed in Xman's pdf but last Friday i saw opportunity in GU while EU was going long for few hours so I decided to go with GU and my decision came to fruition (more than 100 pips)
