Daily gold. If price closes above the top line, then I'll update the chart.

DislikedA good journal, nice thought process.
How do you determine the center of your arcs?Ignored
DislikedI haven't drawn circles in a long while, but usually it was just my gut telling me to start with a massive swing, one that harbors multiple swings within itself, and then the next point would be to line up the circle and the swing. Once I see price starting to turn after the first 90 degrees, too. I box up the swing? That's how I actually start out, which lines up with the swing start/high. The first picture in this thread that has a circle is a good example to look at, actually.
So, really, it's not the center, but the four corners of the circle....Ignored
DislikedCool, thanks. Is it an MT4 tool to draw the arc? Cheers.
We seem to draw our lines very similar. Have you got a camera in my office?Ignored
DislikedI switched to the line chart style after looking at the table style on my broker, which I wish ToS offered a table style on its software, and I think I may be sticking to this style a lot more often. The chart below depicts the high/close/low of price, the white line being the close.
A quick observation: when the middle is near the top line, price usually goes down; when the middle is near the bottom, price usually goes up. This signals that price will retrace to 1.05008. A high of 1.05481 could be achieved in the process. This is only a signal,...Ignored

DislikedI've been trying to work on an entry/exit system, but they've always used total equity as efficiently as possible, which in turn is vulnerable to variance. So, I'm looking for more stability.
This is something I wrote in an hour or so, probably don't have the numbers completely right, but whatever. If price moves 30 pips, I believe, in my favor, then I'm break-even. After that, my risk becomes negative, using 10 pips as a SL. Discretion is better than a entry/exit order.

DislikedIf price goes to the bottom H-line I have marked out, then I will be trying to gain about 15 pips for a 5ish pips SL. 1.0365 to 1.038.
