I don't think it's been bad at all, rather I feel like it's been perfect trading... at least for my style.

"Lifestyle trading" has been great so far this week. I spend about 15min in front of the screens a day now and check things out of boredom from the MT4 iPhone app most of the time

I'm looking for 1.2805 as a target for my shorts. Although I feel it could easily go further, that will be a healthy target for me and a good place to take things off and reassess. Stops are in place, so it's just a waiting game for me now.

I'm also holding EA shorts with a wide open target. If we've hit the turning point in this pair (which I think we may have), I'll be aiming for something around the 1.1200 levels or so. Yes, that's more than 1,000 pips and the swaps will be glorious :-)

The last drop happened over about 3-months time, and I sure as heck wouldn't be upset about taking this trade off sometime in mid December... Merry Christmas! Who knows, it'd be nice

I'm not sure where you lie on the spectrum of trading styles, Arch (scalper/swing), but it's all about finding the style that matches your personality I believe.

I used to fight a lot with my natural style, always wanting to be in the market and ducking in and out of trades... that's just not the way I feel most comfortable trading. Once I learned how to trade the way that comes natural to me, it became much easier, more relaxing, and profitable.

For sure, and that's totally fine. There's some great variation within swing traders' styles too. Take PipTrapper for instance... that dude is, by definition, a swing trader. But he's a much longer term swing trader than I am.

The longer you're in this game the more you realize that there's almost always a second chance to get into a trade, and if there isn't... there's always tomorrow
