End of the month with Oanda

My account history disappeared, I have a MT4 with Oanda. Is that done deliberately? The total $$ is there but that's it.

Probably pipsel had too small period to display on "Account history" tab, am I correct? (you can change how old history to show - Last 3 months, lats months, all history, etc...)

Btw I heard that EA cannot access history which is not displaying on Account history tab, so if you choose to show like 1 month of history then the EA will not have an access to the trades which were closed 3 months ago, did somebody has such problems?

I know this one's a tad older, but I noticed it's nearly the same issue you were talking about with the other thread but this seems to be for a different reason so I figured I'd explain. . .

Oanda's implimentation of MT4 is a 'bridge' over to their main trading servers (fxTrade.) MT4 was never really designed to work with Oanda's trading conditions (interest by the second instead of swaps, any mixed unit size trade, etc...) so the MT4 account has to be 'sync'd' up with the accounting system of their main platform every day.

So in the end, because there's so many balance adjustments and changes to the MT4 version of the account log, it's best to ignore it entirely when you want to verify trades and records. Instead, log into fxTrade, and review the account history there. No matter what MT4 tells you, the account history/balance/etc in fxTrade is the most accurate and current record of your account.

I <3 Oanda and all, but their MT4 implementation is a bit of a stop-gap to satisfy everyone who wanted to run EAs with them. It's best to stick with fxTrade, their native platform for trade execution and records unless you absolutely need MT4 to run an EA.

I'm not sure if this was the same, in this case I closed trades on Sunday afternoon EST and those trades only showed up on Monday morning. But I have checked the folder you are referring to and found it! Thanks!!

I switched from FXDD to Oanda but for some reason the spread is wrong or I am doing something wrong. the spread will show 2pips, so if i trade $1.00 then when I enter it should show -$2.00 when trade is placed. Well when I place a trade it shows -$12.00..WTH?? I call Oanda but no help. I don't see where I can adjust the lot size ether so assuming I can't. Can anyone suggest the issue or what I have done wrong????

How many units is the trade?

A mini-lot (pips = $1) is 10000 units.
This can be adjusted under Menu > Tools > User Preferences on the Trading tab, where you can set the default order size and other elements.

Anyway at the moment you place a trade, all the information about it and your account appears inside the market/limit order window (unless you've used the one-click option) there you can see available units, pip value, trade value, margin and how many pips from the price for TP and SL if it applies.

You can see the actual spreads on the quote panel for each currency pair that you're subscribed to.
