Doesn't QE make oil go up? We are approaching the 4$ a gallon mark again. I'm waiting for a huge QE disapointment... but on the off chance of them actually announcing it, i'm out of the market for the moment.

guessing, dollar is devalued, also additional monetary liquidity stimulates industry, thus increasing demand...

Yes ...

....is going to be a long day. ECB conference are more predictable time-wise.

FED we have the written FOMC statement 1st, and after we need to wait for BB to read the same statement but the market will not settle until the questions are asked making the whole US session pretty much unsettle until the roll.

No man land until news ...

3 Scenarios for the Statement from the most probable to the least:

 

  1. The most probable outcome given chart and market reaction last few weeks since last BB comments, is: we have guarantee some kind of limited QE with extensions of low interest rates to 2014/15 and some tweaks to Twist.

    Most of the this is already digested in charts so if confirmed only the knee jerk reaction will be left for the move....
  2. A surprise announcement with "bazooka" open ended QE. This will put the market in a manic mode not seen in a while with a massive knee jerk reaction and after pullback before final assault to all time highs in equities and gold.
  3. A very but very disappointing FED meaning cutting any chance of further QE (very unlikely) or just mildly leaving open the typical "QE only if numbers, bla bla bla". In the 1st case, massive selloff across the board in one go until the weekly close straight away. In case of the 2nd case, Form a top and retrace in the making with the rejection of daily highs in all instruments...

nothing to do here.. bbl.. i don't know if qe is priced in already.. i do know we have s/r on the gbp 6162/70 ish ........chf 9334 ish and the eu 2962..ej 100.46/53... s/p 1437.69..

bb is not going to say. " the fed will not be there to help"
it will be the same crap as always. and the guy who interprets it and gets the most followers will show direction. the statement will be a recycle of the same words moved around. like the last 4 years is.. this guy will be selling something and wanting the masses to buy it. probably a big bank controlling what the media spits out.
