Hello Tony and traders! Today the opening was weak, with little movement yet made a purchase order stubborn, after 5 sec. as Tony told us, and it did not work. He knocked on my SL and closed my order.
But keep in profit of trade on Friday, with 140 + pips profit on my live account! This is very good!

Slippage is a big factor for me (Pepperstone) that seems to make this strategy less profitable than it's potential. Other than that the EA trades flawlessly - I trade live the London and New York open only.

I would suggested demoing your current opens/closes for a couple of months then making a decision based on that. (Although you probably need 6-12 months of demo to make a proper decision)

Thanks, themaxx...

I'm on pepperstone too...
stops on eu are at 20, so I have set it for 22, and for breakeven, as I think it'd report an error if at 2 or 5 pips...
is this right?
also trading it on ICMarkets with 0 stop levels,
and caught the friday winner for 140+ pips...
don't like to hold over the weekend, so that's all...

good plan on the demo...
backtested ok, but I know that's not reliable with this logic...

cheers!

Hello doyathink

I also I operate by Pepperstone and am testing the CBBP_EA_3.0 trades based on the Tony and even improving the settings! This manually operated on my trade and also released with the help of another EA that automatically switches the SL and BE.
I'll test on EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDJPY for now.

I'm doing a capital transfer from oanda to Currenext because Oanda only acepts 10 million units per transaction. (right) that's a complete standstill...

Maybe due to this, I cant use 6 pip candle's anymore. Problems with filling, slipagge, among other things.

BUT the market opening system remains valid

Hey tony, not sure if this is sensitive information to you. But if you don't mind what's the maximum number of losing streaks you had in a row using this approach to trading?

I don't trade Tony's method. How about you do some due diligence and stop waisting this mans time with stupid questions. Tony is up for the nicest guy of the year award for sharing his trading method with you.

I wouldn't share anything with any of you, honestly those who are going to Die off are going to do so and my caring level just is not there. If Tony asked for some guidance I would help him but he is the ONLY one out of everyone because he is a giver.

So don't waiste his time with your petty questions and do some homework .

I dont see how it is a stupid qns? I've been forward trading it for 3 months and would like to know what's the expected drawdown.

I'm not here to argue with you but if my posts irritates you, simply ignore it thanks.

Not in so many words, but your question has been answered. The short version is yes.

As for the pulldown, difficult for him to answer straight but take 2 pips multiplied by 2 trades a day multiplied by 2 months. Gives you his worst experience to date.

2 months would be around 80 trades if one adhere strictly to his setups.

Mr Personality is really ticked off with the world atm, hope he vents enough before his bad English shows even more.

As for my previous post, hoped it would be corrected by someone, guess they are not paying attention. It actually moves 1 hour the other way (back to GMT). Just keep an eye on the market opens on the FF main page. They will give you the right open.

To be honest, with an 80 drawdown, the system survives but some fancy footwork is needed with MM. For the times that it does happen (and lets hope we don't have a nasty consecutive one), the morale will be pretty damn low.

Okay, check this out:

First to be honest I made it to the first 100k based on sickly hard work. If one follows tony's 10 candle method long enought and then reduces to 8, 6 .. as the experience increases, yo'll do it.

Reaching this is relatively "easy" and you should be operating with 50 million units/trade aproximately at this point. By easy I mean you don't need to be in NASA or have a super-high IQ to do this. All you need is patience, perseverance, discipline, time and some balls to develop your skills.. like all in life!

Other considerations to make also is that at a certain level you'll think that nothing can go wrong and you're the smartest in the world, until you are out of hand and you go back several tens of %. Then you realize that you're another fool (maybe smarter than others fools) and all it's okay.

Regarding the system of openings:

Again, I say that this works. Just be persistent and do not skip any opening. The only problem is that If you don't follow the refund routine after every weekend, you'll loss all your money. It's a fact, be care of it.

It will report an error, but the EA will close the trade at -2 pips even if no stoploss has been added to the order.
