The Magic Number only works when the EA opens a trade, then it knows which trades it has oppened. If you place the EA on a chart and you have another chart or the same chart with the same pair and have an open trade the EA will take it over.

Thank you for your reply. I was hoping could it be possible to make it look at only trades with the same magic number specified in it's settings when considering orders to close? like: if (OrderMagicNumber() == MagicNumber)

Also was thinking of a minor additon to MA Renko version 2 , that is a flexible option to fire the trade , we can use the present ema cross or the Doublewoody cci cross as suggested by max

we put say 23 on trend and entry and on top of this we put a 12 sma , when there is a cross we fire the trade . I find cci gives early entries...
instead of using 2 CCI's one can use 1 CCI as the "Trend CCI" (longer period like 55 or 77 or 89) with 100 trigger line and replace the "ENTRY CCI" with the RSI 14 or 20 or 34 with trigger lines 45/55 or 40/60

RB_renko_v9 has been posted on the first page.

The only change is the addition of a quicker entry that does not require a clean candle but only a closed candle above or below the river. You can select this in the settings, as before you can select 1 or 2 or all 3 entry modes at the same time if you like or just 1.

Also a bug may have crept into the semafor alert which would stop some entries so you may want to download version 9 even if you don't want to use the new setting but if you are using the semafor as a filter.

in this case the trade 1 to trigger the sell or exit the price has to close below H3 after it moves above it , which never happened so we might as well put a trail below it or use the bejs and allow it to continue.

Yes that is true, just trying to show 2 different types of trades.

At this time the present EA I am testing will have the option to start the trailing stop loss once the first target is hit, either H3 or L3, so it can continue on until taken out by the TSL.

It took one trade last night on EURUSD for + 42 pips, take a look at it and see what you think.

I had it on EURUSD and EURJPY and this was the only trade last night.
Do you see anything on EURJPY from last night that should be looked at as a possible trade? There was a possible Breakout from H4 but it seems the BOs seem to be short lived most of the time, do you think they are worth going for?

@seller9 , i am focussing only on EU , so did not see EJ , now one thing i have noticed is if after the breakout if it does not hit the tgt mentioned then it does not augur well for the security .

I cannot say it with much conviction , i am only 50 % sure, but i suspect this .

i need to go thru data before this can be confirmed. but for now if it fails to hit the tgt post breakout, then reverse fire is on .

we can do one thing, we calculate the tgt mentioned in terms of pips, if it is abv 15 pips then we do not trail but we just put the sl to cover our cost ( buy or sell ) if it is more than 15 pips , then as it moves beyond 15 pips towards the target we can kick that bejs in with say 15/5/1 settings.

today camarilla sell was at 1.2633 and buy at 1.2566 both triggered and both are in green pips.

Yes, the EA took both of those trades and has entered a third that is still open.

Right now the TS kicks in when the price hits the first target, I think I will change that so it kicks in when the price is half way to the first target.

In the first trade there was a lot of movement between H3 and L3, to close a SL and we would have gotten stopped out. Lucky for us we did hit our first target on each of these trades. If they would have continued on the TS would have followed along to maximize the profit.

In some cases we may not reach our first target so thats where starting the TS when we get half way there or so would work better.

I will be testing next week a version using the Weekly Camarilla lines rather than the Daily Camarilla lines. Below is a chart of this past week that shows the possible trades for this past week.

You will be able to select either Daily or Weekly Camarilla Lines in the EA.
(Only one at a time)

Old charts always look great, so will see next week if it works in real time.

I would like input from all traders on what they think, or am I just typing to myself????

i would test it if i could Download it

im currently testing RB Renko v9, it would be good if you can add the Camarilla to that EA, it would be easier for us, it does seem to be a good strategy worth testing.

As you say, it looks great in principal.

How does your logic decide if its a reversal or a breakout?

Been running v3 with EMA(26) and EMA(5) for crossover, CCI(34) for filtering and allowing the MA cross signal to carry for 3 candles.

Below is summary from last week (w/c 3rd Sept):

AUDUSD +12 pips
EURGBP +13 pips
EURJPY -54 pips
EURUSD +10 pips
GBPUSD -34 pips
USDCAD - no trades
USDJPY +24 pips
Total -30 pips

19 Trades : 9 Winners @ 98 pips, 10 Losers @ -128 pips

Significant improvement over last week, but still negative. It still gets caught out by whipsaw movements...

Been looking at additional filtering options, but I'm aware that this may start to lead us away from the KISS concept.

If anyone is a big fan of this EA and wishes me to continue to test then please let me know. I will run this again next week, and monitor its performance with ADX filtering added - perhaps making a code change suggestion after that.

If you think this EA is not worth pursuing then also, please let me know.

I have been running Bands 30(0.2), CCI(34), no AO, no Semafor - I added MA(60) as a trend filter this week, but this seemed to have little impact too.

My major change this week will be the width of the bands. I'm moving from 0.2 to 1.0, as I've noticed this cancels out almost all of the small moves beyond the bands, and still leaves room for the bigger breakout movements.

@seller9 , we should keep this camarilla ea and the MA renko cross separate and light and not mingle it with renko v 9 and make a big soup with all those settings. these two strategy has got nothing to do with the river strategy .

now coming to the week, well although it is good but if it hits even one sl it can blow a account , so given that i think we should concentrate on day and H4

rather than week . i am sure not many will benefit from the week, however on paper it will always look great .

I have only been forward testing RB_V7 for the last 1.5 weeks but my results from this week were....

EURUSD = +70 (2 wins, 2 losses, 1 breakeven)
AUDCHF = +14 (2 wins, 1 loss)
USDCAD = +60 (1 win)
Total = +144 pips

I will be adding AUDUSD this week. For EURUSD it is running the same setfile I have already posted.

On a side note, I also backtested the ADX_EA and the MA_EA. I could not find any conditions where the ADX_EA was profittable over the last six months (at least for EU). The MA seemed reasonably profitable but had high DD and was not has good as the RB EA. On backtest RB_V8 seems a little better then V7 (though both looked good) and I have not looked at V9 yet.
