The indicator posted earlier was the original, here I enclosed the one used on my chart.

There are two features added:
1) the original daily candle has been replaced by MTF candle.
2) usually there are pop up alerts from your MT4, and we are so used to remove them. Now with this indicator installed, you can re-call the pop up alert by press Ctrl plus "Zero" at the same time and reread the message..

Hi Star,

the indi you shared works like magic. EUR/USD was firing up and stop right on the pivot line... Wow... much better than the one i used before (i think previously i used daily pivot, not fibo pivot).

Happy trading day...

It played out, thank you very much 40 pips to the DP. Have to admit I did not do it on my own, Draghi helped me a lot. Took the long off the bounce from the weekly pivot, it has gone much much higher than I thought it would so I think I will close it and call it a day.

Two entry... two stop :-(

Short entry at opening of 4° "london candle" (formation of second red) after pullback & H1 resistance (green line)

SL was upside H1 resistance but taken during news (touched RN 40pips up entry)

New short entry after end of second news. Good TDI after clousure... exit for save 10 pips or wait EMAcrossing?

Strong reverse... second SL!

I stumbled across this forum a couple of days ago and am intrigued by the 4H Swing method, but I have a basic question:

My charts come up with gray bars, all the same color. All the screenshots here are with colored bars and they don't look like regular candles, more like Heiken Ashi.

Can someone point me to the correct download or what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks very much in advance.

I also got SL when i short on that strong bearish APB. I thought because the price broke EMA60 it's safe to short.

Is that possible that price movement went crazy because of a lot of high impact news all in about 3 hours? Well perhaps next time I should stay away if there are too many news at once...

Hello young man!!!

I call you young man because from your expression

1) you are younger than me or at lease half my age.

2) You have not seen the world. When we switch on the radio, or watch TV, when coming to the financial session, you will hear them saying or telling you which direction the market is moving now and there after. (You should tell not to do that also).

Such remarks are not welcomed in this forum!!!!!

We are here to share our views and learn from each other so that we can have certain skills to out performed our BIG BROTHER and bag some pips into our account.

Predicting the market movement is not an easy process and it cannot be 100 percent accurate.

If the prediction is correct we like to learn more.

If trade went the opposite direction we also like to know which indicator or other signs that make us decide the wrong way, so we try not to make the same costly mistake the next time.

Hi Phx62,

Great post, you are the master of this system. I took the same trade and closed for 30 pips.

Also could you please let me know where i can get the daily/h4/h1 support lines indicator.

Thank you in advance.

NO indicator....I draw the lines from "sore thumb" highs and lows on the daily and H4 charts....for more info on this go to the "Pro Traders Network" and Rick explains exactly how to accomplish this. The link to that site has been posted on this thread.

hi eth,

the market creates all moving averages we place on our charts. you know what this means.

just for self study evaluation:

what are the EMA60 and EMA200 use for in this S3 methods?
know these well and use these as criteria to look for trade setups or perhaps as filters in your own system.

For S3 H1, I use mainly the daily pivots levels and the recent fibo retracement levels of the previous day high low and also the previous week high low fibo levels.
Also know where the Weekly Pivot is for the week. This is sometimes the swing point for price movement in the trading week. Study the longer timeframe trend (e.g. H4 ) using the Weekly pivot as reference.

For intraday trading, these pivots and fibos as supprot and resistance are what I lookout for.
When we see confluence of any fibo and pivot levels, we must pay attention when we trade.

Hope these help.

Regards,

I use the EMA as a trend guide, also as a major support/resistance. Hopefully I use it correctly as S3 tends to
Usually I trade a setup which inline with the trend direction showed by price position compared to EMA60/EMA200 (upper = buy, lower = sell). But there are times that I have problems especially near the trend reversal... Should learn more, practice more to identify this scenario better, so I can avoid wrong setup for that condition...

Which EMA do you use in M15 eur/usd trade?
Ignored
I use a 50ema close to determine the trend on the 15min TF.
try it out and see if you would like the 89ema or 50ema.

The 50ema works better for me.

No problem and your welcome. Nice thread you have there, well organised, I wish everyone updated their first pages like you have, it would save a lot of repetition and make it easier for newcomers to find the answers rather than having to plough thru whole threads which really shouldn´t be necessary.

Intersting looking method, I shall have to have a closer look, particularly judging by your list of fellow contributors.

My first post does not need a constant update because that is the way i trade up until today and thats the way every trader should trade this system.
I do not have v1 , v2 , v3 of this system. there is only 1 version. there are no extra rules
If a noob comes into this thread and read the first post and then read the experienced traders posts thereafter the only thing he will need after that is practice. Theres no other hidden rules here.
I only trade the 15min TF abit different coz its slightly different and quicker than the 1H.

The system rules will always remain the same no matter what.
Always remain PA is king. we use TDI to confirm thats all there is to it.

This system is intended to be as simple as this always.
Thats why its called super simple system

Hi X-man,
do you mind to share why you trade M15 now? in the beginning of this thread you used H1 for EUR/USD.

I used to trade M15, but now moving to H1 regarding to this thread Hmmm... actually I havent finished all the pages yet. Just around the first 200 pages then jump to page 500 and so on. Sorry, if you already have put some sharing between those pages about the reason.....

thnx.

Try using this one. I have configured the 1st TP at 30 pips, breakeven at 30 and trailing also at 30.

There are many reasons for the EA not performing it's 1st TP.
1) you need to know your broker what is the smallest bit. eg. standard account cannot take below 0.1 lot; so you need to enter a trade at 0.2 lots and your 1TP is set at 50% than it works.

2) wrong setting: should you trade say 0.3 lots, and your 1stTP setting is 67%, than you 1stTP will be 0.2 lots leaving 0.1 lot trailing.
however if your setting is 50% I think it may not work.
