DislikedHi seller9,
I also have the same problem, it does not work properly, please check the EA...
ThanksIgnored
These 2 trades were both short trades.
Do you see it on both Long and Short or one or the other?

DislikedI will check into it, it is the same as the RB_renko_v8 and that has just finished 2 trades and I was watching it and they both worked OK.
These 2 trades were both short trades.

DislikedFirst post here at FF and nice work seller. Thought I'd comment on the commerical script listed previously for backtesting renko charts. I bought the software package three months ago and would highly recommned it if you trade renkos, which I almost exclusively do. It does have it's weaknesses (like not always being triggered by tight trailing stops) but works well if your EA's open and close based on prior bar data.
I've included two backtests (five months of data, most my broker had for M1 chart) for RB_V7 and the recently added MA Trail EA....Ignored
DislikedHey mate, the matrail ea that is in youtube have 2 ma , when the RB close outside of upper ma open a buy, the oppocite for sale, the 2 MA keep you out of bad trades ( not all of them) my question is, how you backtest with 2 MA and not just only one (50MA)? Also I would like to ask seller if he can take a look and add BEJS to the code. I'm not shure if the original code has it. I run a backtest for 1 year and the results was ok( posted when I learn how lol) if somebody tell me how to post the report like you did.thanks.oh the RB was 20 pipsIgnored
DislikedWhen using Renko Bars there is no time frame the EA defaults to what ever chart you put it on, it is not hard coded to any time frame.
All calculations are done using the chart the EA is placed on, so if you use it on a regular time base candle chart and change between time frames when the EA is running strange things may happen as the open and close of the candles is now different.
But when using Renko Charts you can change the bar size and the EA will correct itself to the new bar size, but you may not want to change bar sizes when in...Ignored
DislikedThis is not an EA I am presently working on and do not intend to, so you are on your own with this one, maybe find the original coder and have him make your changes.
The EA only uses one ma, not two, the video shows something different than what this EA does.
I had it running with the defaults on a demo account and was a big time loser.Ignored
DislikedSo if we do not want to use renko bars then it is better to use the RB Renko_v8 instead of the RB_v2 or RB_v2a on a normal candle say M15 chart. Did I understand correctly? Thanks.Ignored
DislikedDear Seller9,
Thank you very much for all the efforts. I just visited your thread and I am happy you have created an EA for Renko.
I have also downloaded the EA and installed same.
Please, see my attached file of EURUSD where I marked with blue colour. Please, is there any filter like Damian Volatmeter or Trend_strength indicator we can use to stay away or rather to stop the EA from initiating a trade at such ranging period?. If you accept any of the suggested indicators I mentioned above, I will post it here for you if you don't have them...Ignored
DislikedYou can use version 8 on regular candles as it only looks at the open and Close of the candle. The reason for going to Renko Bars was to eliminate some of the noise.
The EA will run on what ever time frame chart you put it on, but just don't change the time frame when in a trade as the calculations by the EA will now be based on the new chart time frame as the EA is not coded to only one time frame but follows the time frame of the chart it is placed on.
If you use it on regular time candles please post your results.

DislikedThis is my personal view, as we tested the various strategies, ichi, tdi, riverside etc, for the simplicity sake , the EMA cross is the best, it can be tuned to catch the trend very early with obvious risk of whipsaw or little later.
The double woody cci is a super indicator, thanks to max for pointing it to me. I use the double woody to fine tune the EMA cross and let the EMA take the final decision to buy or sell .
I tried MA cross with bejs of 9-1-1 and am happy to tell that in eu it managed to keep me in profit in almost 95 % of the...Ignored
DislikedSeller9 ;
the renko v8 ea doesnt trade.(new uploaded)
every settings seems okay.Ignored
Dislikedhi seller9 - which pairs do you trade ? As I understand - only the EURUSD ? Did you ever try other pairs ?
Which filters do you use in the v8 ? Looking the RB v8 in your post#1 - are they Semafor/AO/CCI ? Is the setfile in the EA in post #1 the one you use live ?Ignored
DislikedHere is what I am using on my live account (RB_Renko_v8), it does fairly good and stays positive.
