BunnyGirl Cross system

I was wondering if anybody here uses the BunnyGirl Cross system (aka BGX). I just started using it this week and so far I like it. It's based on 5/20/100MA crossings with a few additional rules that seem to make all the diferrence.

Any opinions or comments about this system?

I am trading with this system, too.
The only problem with me is that I always miss the European market and when I wake up in the morning, the price usually has passed the entry point.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem except for moving to Asia and waking up at 2am EST?
Amazing how much difference this makes... in my place I just stay up until after midnight. Maybe I should move back to Europe if this ever works out. Although, the beginning of US session isn't bad, either.

I guess you could try to use stop/limit orders but that's not the same as watching it.

Which rules do you find most important? Do you use that 25 pip filter? This was one thing I couldn't get used to.

Do you trade other than the 4 recommended pairs?

This is exactly what I am doing now. I watch closely during Asian session and "predict" some potential crosses and set up some stop orders based on those potential crosses. But I consider this to be kinda risky. But if there is already a crossover during the Asian session, I would definitely jump in if the price reaches the level after adding the filter.

The rules I follow strictly are the 25 pip filter and the 100wma which acts as a support/resistance level. A lot of times you will see some bounces at the 100wma and at these times you should be cautious and tighten your stop. Also I do not enter trades after 12pm EST.

I only trade the 4 recommended pairs and usually I just pick one out of the EUR, GBP and CHF. I found it too exhausted to manage all three pairs so I usually just pick the one I feel most comfortable with at the speficic market condition and also take a close look at EUR/JPY.

You bet it does. If it wasn't for my job I would be back home right away. And judging by your accent , that's probably close to where you live (I used to live in Krakow).

Hope the trading is good enough so that I can move back some day.

Did you see that move Friday morning (around 8-9 GMT)? In 30 minutes or a bit more I was up 50+ pips on 3 pairs, it was just a perfect BGX setup! If I trailed all my stops I could have done twice as much, as the move continued for the next few hours but I decided to get some sleep instead and closed all but one trade.

I also watch the 100WMA for the same reasons. Daily open also seems to work as she describes (prices tend to bounce of of it) so watching it can improve your success rate.

Yes, Friday was an awesome day for this system(Wednesday was nice too after the economic data). I set up a sell stop order on Thursday night before going to sleep and it turned out to be a perfect order. But unfortunately I missed the majority of the move due to the fear for the potential bounce from the 100WMA. My order took a small 25 pip profit when I was asleep and when I woke up on Friday morning, I just found that I closed the position too early.

I am going to try this exit strategy next week: I close half the position on some major resistance/support level such as 100WMA or daily open and let the other half run with a trailing stop.

If everything works out well, I think I am going to move back to China in the future and then I don't need to worry about missing the European session.

If several pairs are having a cross at the same time we are looking at a big move, (according to BG) so I decided to go for it. I guess there were some contradicting signals there, that's where the "discretionary" rules come into play... Anyway, it was fun watching it go. And collecting the pips.

Yes you are right. That' why I think this BG system is not a strict and fixed system. With different kinds of filters, it is up to each single person to determine whether to take the signal or not. Same for the exit signal and money management strategy. Therefore I consider this WMA cross system as a powerful tool for us to ride with the trend rather than a holy grail money making machine.

As for the daily open, I haven't noticed much about that but if the daily open coincides with the 100WMA, then we should really be cautious.

Anyway, this sytem performed extremely well last week. Let's see what happens next week. I am definitely going to follow it and if you like, we can discuss it in this thread.

If anyone is interested, I do have an updated version of the BGX document. I never posted this one (I'm the original author) for various reasons. I wouldn't mind posting it here, but, it's a bigger file and I don't think I have permissions to post it (I think it's about 2 MB).
