I think the stop losses order saved on the MultiCharts client will result in big slippages.
Only using the webplatform will offer native stops.

You can submit orders with TP/SL over the Java API. However you might be better of with FIX for a lot of things.

Just get this straight, if I have a stoploss planed and my internet connection goes down or if there is a black out, my order will be floating in the market with out take profit or stoploss?

Does anyone knows if the armada mt4 platform is the same thing?

I talk with armada live chat, they said that even if I go offline after I set the stoploss and take profit, my orders will be respected.

Yes thats true, you can easily test it:

Place a tp and sl and shut down the metatrader terminal. you will see with any broker that the orders will get executed even if MT is not running
Forex is a losers game.

The stop loss, take profit are implemented in the MT4 server, not the LMAX native matching engine . The main down side to this is performance as it takes a finite time for the server to respond (as well as queueing priorities within the LMAX server)

Don't worry about the client - you don't need that for anything but trailing stops

Hello everyone,
So has anyone actually trading with them? especially via armada. What's your experience yet?

I have a live account with Armada.

Positive things i've noticed:

- starting from 0.01 lot
- 500:1 leverage (when the account is below 5000$)
- hedging allowed
- super fast, real instant order execution (no other MT4 broker can compete here)
- no or very low slippage even on extreme volatile market conditions
- acceptable commission

Negative points:

- not the best spreads and during asia session spreads suck big time (most Integral brokers, brokers with aggregated feeds or FXPro cTrader have much tighter spreads)
- no 1-click order execution tool
- no market depth and no possibility to place the order between the spread
- only MT4 (IMHO MT4 absolutely sucks!!)
- no backup-server (when they lose connection to LMAX you really have a problem)
- not regulated by a strong authority like FSA or ASIC



But so far I'm very happy with them.
Sometimes they had tech. glitches so disconnects happened but didn't last longer than 2 minutes.
The execution speed really rocks and you're getting the price you click.
Also, the support is very nice and customer-friendly.

A broker with excellent execution speed but average spreads.

Average spreads are among the lowest you can find , check it out

http://www.fxintel.com/live/ 0.3 average for EUR/USD last 12 hours

use Lmax as broker, armada offers even tighter spreads because they have added extra liquidity providers

I'm thinking changing to Armada brokers.

Average spreads? lol They have some of the lowest spreads you can ever find.

If not counting disconnections that are due to me or my ISP, platform disconnections have been very rare in my experience.

Give it a live test for a week or so and see how it is for you.

are you sure you can't place orders between the spread? i'm choosing armada mainly because i could place orders between the spread. and the low spread. and mt4.

1-2 disconnects during Asia sessions. During London/NY very rare. All in the last 8 weeks. Disconnect time: 30 seconds - 3 minutes
My Internet connection and other FX broker were running fine during these events.

I compare Armada spreads tick by tick realtime with other live feeds (accounts) from other brokers. Forex is a bit more than EUR/USD.

I can say their spreads (and from LMAX) are just average and definitely not the best in the FX world.

Being a agressive scalper for me EURUSD is almost all the forex, but I'm starting looking at eurJPY and USDJPY, maybe in the future when I'm more confident and have my method becomed a second nature, maybe then I will trade two pairs.

Yes I notice that one day, don't remember when ( i think it was this week if I'm not mistaken) the spreads where a constant 0.4 pips for some time what I tough it was very strange, but it can be me over-thinking (again) there are other with best spreads but are brookers that I never heard of and the ones that I did are for bad reasons, and others that have betters spreads and seem trustful have higher commissions.


I use myfxbook to see the spreads
