I THINK that is what is most expected: HOLD rates...but give up the "we'll cut if needed," shtick.

Any deviation from that will be interesting.

I know their employment figures...and quite a few other "red" level ones are at 21:30est, but Rate decision...always remember it a little later. ECB is, too...quite late in the day on rates and press conference. Much later than most other big event news.

Oh yeah...I think I said it was me and red in Glasgow the Christmas before!

Now if people were placing bets on who was who...I'd say it was pretty clear who people would think was wearing the sweater and who had the face tattoo!

I suppose I'd be somewhere in the middle of both.

Have certainly seen stranger things happen. If they're feeling the pinch of a strong currency...no better time to do it. Figures at home "kinda/sorta" support the move without people screaming "currency war!"

China has a lot of reports up soon, and it is not meant to be looking good. If RBA doesn't cut today, and Chinese news is grim, next decision will be a likely cut. But... is 0.25% going to stop the modern day carry-trade teflon currency? TBD. Will certainly give better buying ops.

Come to think of it...I haven't heard much at all about the Oracle...or his trains. Isn't no news, good news?

If the RBA cuts...I hope they cut the shite out of it so we don't get killed on swaps by being short AU or long EA.
