I hate these consolidating areas. I get absolutely killed in them. My signals (like most signals) are worthless in these area. Here is where I possibly come into another confusing area... IF this candle closes as a hammer, do I close my short for a small loss and go long, or hang on like my trading rules state.

So crazy this consolidating makes me...

I got killed all the time in such zones. You are not alone. It takes a master to trade a zone like this.

All events seem like lay-up for Friday NFP... prelims show on target.... if they wanted to get away with doing nothing without having the Market get killed... they would do it on a week when the NFP is + ....

And if the NFP is - ... then you will see one of your guys come outta hiding... Super Mario or Santa Claus...

So I see you guys like using the ADX as a solid indicator... and I understand how it works... but for me its like trying to find a spot on the back of my head using two mirrors...

Do you get used it after a while?

4 hr bar ended up being a hammer. I exited my short, with a 16 pip loss.

Re-entering long @ 1.0461. Seeing if I can get to 1.05 on this trade.
