I too would join Lmax through Armada if they were licensed as a security firm so that clients deposits would be protected by some investor compensation fund. They told me in a live chat that they are working on that but it will take some time. I have no choice but to just go with Lmax directly because security of funds is important to me.

Hello, i have a live account with Lmax.
Today i had a buy order on USDJPY at 78.040, but it didnt trigger.

Price feeds from different brokers show price below .04

Do you think for any reason this could be concerning?

LMax has charts based on the bid price. Ask px did not go below 04

Can someone verify what are all these price spikes back in October 2011 on Daily charts of many of the pairs?

Are they real, did they happen? Or is this some kind of feed error, and if so, why the f*ck are they still there?

They sure screw up charting. I have checked a couple other Brokers and don't see them. Has anyone asked Lmax about this?

I have got no problems. But index CFDs are still bad - dont trade that, especially DAX. They need to bring in more LPs for these products. Support said they will do that - but that was a few months ago, so who knows. But FX is excellent.

I'm surprised, someone like you would even consider CFD. CFD are invented by UK bookies like betfair (that owns LMAX) for the whole purpose of circumventing the UK tax code, and are in a sole purpose of extracting money. All liquidity in CFD has nothing to do with an underlying instrument.

If you want to trade dax find an eurex broker and trade fdax...

My thoughts exactly.

If you want to use brökers like LMAX for anything other than forex, you should look elsewhere. In fact I think LMAX should do like Currenex and similar portals and just stick with spot FX.

LOL, if you think its that much of a scam, surely you shouldn't trade FX with this firm either. Same thing, different asset class.

CFDs are UK taxable aren't they anyway?...

In UK you dont have to pay stamp-duty on stock-CFD, but its not tax-free like spreadbetting as far as i know. Im not from the UK.

Yeah I wouldn't claim it's a "scam". Just agreeing about CFD liquidity having nothing to do with the underlying instruments, hence the liquidity/spreads/etc difficulties with them.

Question for those using Multicharts with LMAX. How do you enter micro lot orders in chart trader? It does not let you specify order size as '0.1'.

We are now subject to margin based on notational value (on MT4)

So not only do you have to pay MORE commission to trade something like GU, but it also ties up a LOT more money, 50% more!

Absolutely asinine if you ask me, I am happy overall with Lmax but these two things REALLY piss me off, and I hope they will reconsider at some point. If they also piss you off, do like me and send them an email to tell them

I've been using the LMAX MultiCharts demo for several weeks,I find the stop losses order are not saved on the LMAX server but within the MultiCharts client.
if the real account is the same thing?
I think the stop losses order saved on the MultiCharts client will result in big slippages.
