This leg up is now nine weeks old. A down move lasting 4-6 weeks is no big deal. Unless it broke the low of this leg up. The LT uptrend will take a huge move down to break it. We got room for the bears here, folks.

I've been following Jim Rickards for a little while and he seems to have connections at the Fed. He wrote the book Currency Wars. Back on July 25th he tweeted the following:

"#Fed said it would keep rates low to "late 2014" on 01.25.12. That was 6 months ago. Things worse now. So they'll extend to 2015 on Aug 1st"

"#Fed to do #QE3 possibly in open-ended nominal GDP target form Sept 13. Will extend low rates to 2015 Aug 1st. Jackson Hole for explaining"

"Reason for #Fed low rate extension (Aug 1) & #QE3 (Sept 13) not based on employment data. It's based on deflation fears & need for cheap $"


I'm wondering if we could see some wild USD swings if all they announce on August 1st is the low rate extension? A rate extension is bad for the dollar, but not as bad as QE. So bulls and bears would have an argument.

great just great ...now you guys have done it...I've been reading an participating and ...where did get me...I think both the bulls and the bears are right and I'm stuck right in the middle liking both ...but the thing is I'm in a short trade from....1.0532 and although nice would love to see it even more nice...but because I do have a preference for the short and many things I see in my charts show a good sign for continued south bound action...the fact that the aud still keeps going up for some reason when the whole world is hurting..some more than others....makes me want to turn and ride the loco train up....not going crazy about it but it sure is making my ass itch...excuse my language....sorry just venting...LOL....

There are typically 3 types of Game Stage setup by the retailer and commerical big players before the release of a very important news (US farm roll, interest rate, FED decision).

1.In a Long trend, Push the price as high as possible before news, spike the price up to kill off stop loss and then dropped down as fast as possible when news happened


2. In a long trend but starts to drop down before the news happened, after the news happened, the price will go beyond the ceiling (eg 1.06XX - 1.07XX)


3. In a long trend, drop down as soon as possible several hours before news happened, after news released, continue to drop down even more.

From what i think and personal PA behaviour experience, the real show is on friday (US NON FARM PAYROLL)
