This is Asia, normally things move much slower and range would be tighter.

A typical pattern would be to find it's support level then go back and retest that support level before heading in the direction it's going to go.

Yeah, BUT.. you are a market where everyone is frigidity and grab profits as quickly as they see them. Which causes an unload in order to unload your "sell" someone has to "buy".. which causes the market to slow down.. and then reverse up.. causing a whipsaw.. and then as that happens.. buy orders (which cause) support start piling up. Eventually, more buys are being done.. who ever didn't cut their position earlier.. starts cutting it which causes it to go back up even more..

Its a trading psychology.
There are those who know, and there are those who don't know.

Re Chinese PMI, interesting to note the AUD started sliding 5 minutes before the announcement.

Journalists are given the numbers 15 minutes prior to release, but some Chinese journalists flout the embargo. Worth remembering next time there's a major dataset to be announced. Watch Chinese news and websites to get the first indication.

I don't know where you guys see a support here. I do believe that up trend is not finished yet, but it looks to me 1.0450 and maybe even lower can be hit today. IMHO

At the moment I'm watching price action at the 78.6 Fib. If the PA shows me something different, I'm happy to see it.

Hello iNSIELD,

I usually concentrate on the AUD/USD just because my brain can only absorb so much at one time and don't have a preference for long or short but have a tendency to trade pairs with the lowest trading costs. I am a day trader and seldom hold week to week, so swap rates don't factor into my plan.

While the EUR/AUD is currently on a bounce off the bearish trend line, a short on it would only be warranted at the next PA indication. Which could be at the around the 150% Fib

I think so.. once support is realized.. everyone will dump their shorts which will cause the elevator to move back up again.
Ignored
palabara, which elevator are you in? Some bears in my elevator wanted to go to the basement parking first. I had no choice. But, the elevator is moving up without those bears now.
