This 4hr chart to me looks to be turning to the bear side...but is it right to soon?

Just got back!!

LOL, I don't know anyone that has traded for any length of time that hasn't done exactly the same things! DD's have really taken 1000s in toll on my account in the past and it's possibly made me overly cautious, but when I made the same decision of "No More DDs" my account quit dropping. Every time I get too aggressive and too stubborn it happens again.

Must be the same human pattern you guys have already discussed! A few big trades in the right direction, then boom....a big bull or bear trap that you think, "If I hold this long enough, it will come back"! For me, much better to cut a loss early and look for another entry. When you are wrong, YOU ARE WRONG! No sense taking the hit when you are.

May we never DD again!!

Thanks DonL....I tell ya the things I've learned in the last week or so have really got me thinking things out more....but don't get me wrong... remember ...My name is Pete and I have a DD problem...LOL

I don't understand your chart very well so that I cannot have a conclusion based on your chart. But, I do know the daily pattern needs 5 waves to complete. We only got 3 so far and the Aussie is testing UTL now. All 5 waves are supposed to be inside the rising channel. I feel comfortable to be a bear at this juncture. May be I am right too soon this time but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Right?

Have been reading this forum quite often becos i find it very entertaining at the same time interesting with charts and pictures. I have got short @ 1.033 adn 1.037 still opening but anyway what's DD problem?

actually papa I really couldn't tell you to much about the indicators at this point..they're new to me ..right now I'm just using them as if to be looking for tracks to see which way this animal is moving... but your right a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do....

Here's my plan for tonight..I'm in for a short @ 1.0532 ..I was fortunate to make 62 pips on my last trade...so I'll risk 30 or 35 pips for a stop loss which takes me to the 1.0562-65 range if hit will try a short from there...will consider TP starting at 1.0470 and down.....no more DD...LOL

I have been preparing for tonight's action for a few days. I am not greedy but thinking big now. Whenever I look at tiny profit I lose. I am going to open my mind and my eyes to hit something decent this time.

I have placed shorts at 1.0521. Missed the peak, but after reading wise words from DB and others about entering too early, I decided to wait and see if the bulls were completely exhausted first.

I may still be a touch early, but I don't mind.

Put my SL's just above the ceiling.

Wow i woke up 5 minutes ago, come to the pc waiting see AUDUSD in 1.0470 or less...and i see that have touch near 1.0550!!!! Damn!!!
Anyway...i continue short, new positions open at 1.0515...if go up, i will open more positions in 1.0540
