Hey 9/5 r's

I posted an idea about 60 days ago on the feeder cattle market.

We were at all time highs and I mean all time.

I was waiting for a turn and pricing some put options to cover me and loaded up with a good average.

I have enclosed a few charts for you to veiw and the options I was pricing at the time time were gyrating between $650 to $975 for a while.

Prices have crashed and the options are sitting around $5,000 as we speak.

I'm looking for the 120.00 area...maybe lower.

Yes.. for us Timing can be Crucial... BUT i am wondering .. are Big Boys waiting For September..as AUGUST can BE a HIT or a MISS..??

Thanks Baz for the video. It is all a big mess. If the market was left to its own devices the euro would be at parity now. The SP500 at 750 etc. The ranges in the market have increased and volatility too. I know that sooner or later the props will not be able to hold up any more and the falls will be huge. We just need to be vigilant and well positioned. Perhaps options like Golfer is the way to go - at least the max risk is known and the reward is unlimited...

Comments in the chart. Please note that this is a weekly chart. Generally a triangle pattern in elliott wave is a time waster and only trades taken at the edge of this triangle held for a long time will be successful. But the trajectories are there to be traded.

This is me thinking aloud. Had a bit of time because of the olympics and decided to apply my rudimentary knowledge of Elliott Wave to the EurUsd as we stand now. Feel free to shred the idea if you think different...Price will confirm and do what it wants

s it time to buy the usdcad? Price is in a downward channel which is bearish on the face of it. However price is at the bottom of the channel. Check out what has happened all the times price hit the bottom of the channel. A significant upmove.

Lokk at the leftmost part of the chart you will see a clear upmove. Then we have this channel with lots of ovelapping waves. This is corrective in nature and therefore we should be looking for price to resume its upmove

Stochastics have crossed up at the oversold levels. MACD is showing bullish divergence. And we are right at the bottom of the channel right now...

Essentially this is a trade based on the relative strengths of the British and the Canadian economies. From the fundamentals we know at the moment Canada is way ahead of G. Britain considering retail sales, unemployment, trade deficit, national debt etc. This favours a break down out of the triangle. Could be a set and forget trade

This goes for the us$ as a whole. If we get a reversal up in the usdcad then us$ will increase against all other currencies as well

price passed the first test i.e bouncing off the 1.0000 double bottom. We are not out of the woods yet and are not able to shout 'turn!' yet from the roof tops. Remember the prevailing downtrend channel guiding the price down. We also have ECB meeting today.

Some comments on the chart.

Prices are at extremes and are having difficulty going higher. There is bearish divergence on the chart as well. A break below 148 will spell the beginning of the end of tbonds.
