Hi am just wondering wasnt this two trades showing two matching highs with a lower close hence shorting and in downtrend ok i see the trend wasnt soo obvious but.......
anyinput as to this kind of setups and what to avoid?

thenx mike for that chart i see it has answered my question that the matching highs with a lower close must be on swing highs thenx again

This is exactly what you're talking about. Price hits an LCS but fails to close below. The next bar retests the LCS and off we go.

There are various occasions where price will hit an LCS/HCR and because they can be so strong, price at times won't end up closing beyond them but instead close back into them. These can also be good trading opportunities. Jarroo has talked about such setups in the PF for sure.

So one can use HCR/LCS as either a valid support / resistance (not broken -> price goes back to where it was), or as invalidated support / resistance (broken -> price will move further, up to the next S/R - PPZ - BRN...), am I right??

It seems I finally understood some decent part of the story

You understood the biggest chunk of it.

That's all its about.

It may feel as though Jarroo has gotten off on a tangent with all his methods and concepts, but in effect he has very smartly dissected the conventional James16 "PPZ" and stripped it down to a single price level for the most part.

Once you learn how he does this - rest is still all the basic stuff of former resistance turning into support and vice versa and PA bars off of these levels as being strong setups and the ability to touch trade (entry on retrace after PBT&CA/CB) off the stronger levels.

Its just a simple modification (which is well worth it) of the basic stuff - that's all!

Hi Chanya

i see like you could be having an answer to my question since u compiled jarros trading style do u have an idea on which page i could check out not necessarily the exact page he started but just a round that oh men am soo committed to learning this method am still rumbling his posts

so far we have over 7000 pages so could it be in pages 1000,2000,etc just a rough idea

Yep...
I could understand the support / resistance stuff, but totally messed up both PPZ & HCR/LCS.
Taking it the other way round by focusing on Jarroo's way really opened my mind... no kidding. first "aha" moment?

I have always been impressed by Jarroo's "to the pip - kaboom". Now it starts making sense

Having this in mind, I am very eager to practice it, and to see how it interacts with PA.

Hey i just searched for lcs in posts from jarroo, that led me to page 6062 maybe it helps

on 6063 Post 90935 LCS and HCR are officialy taken into the james16threa terminology

Let me know if you find better posts

njokie , why do you need to go to his posts to learn his method ? Why not read the PDF first ? Why start the hard way ?
I don't have any idea where he explained it himself .

Seems good enough . See the chart below and notice the blue line as first level where you should move to BE .. Yellow is where stoploss should be behind ... I would say Let this one go . I do not have a good feeling about this one . Can't explain why ..

I would highly appreciate some explanation please to this situation:


If we get for example PA signal (pin bar or doji) to sell (going with the trend, & with existence of S/R levels, but previous bar was a huge bullish/ high momentum candle as shown for example on attached chart. Would we reject this set up based on this previous huge candle & why? thanks

Hi to the group,

I've just been reading the PDF put together by Chanya on the Jarroo method (many thanks for that!) and I was wondering whether this is a possible set up. I think we will soon have a PBT&CA on the last candle, so a possible long entry. I've marked the LCS as being around 122.30 (blue line) with a possible stop at around 122 or just below (cyan zone). I'd apperciate any comments just so that I can confirm that I have the method/setup identified correctly.

Hey Wafik

I personally would in this case. Unless the confluence is VERY strong I would caution new traders against trading back into such strong a move. I would say if you do you MUST be aggressive with your stops and getting to b/e cause they can blow up quick

Yes it is . Its a nice setup . But , be sure to get risk free at the first level as I have pointed out on the chart below with yellow line ... Its important because not every trade would be a runner ...
